These two terms can be very confusing because they’re almost the same with a slight difference. But you always have to look at the nature of the question. In Cybersecurity exams, they always want to test your complete understanding of terms like this. The main purpose of phishing is divulging sensitive information, while in Spoofing, the main purpose is for DOS attack but can also be used to steal information. A lot of people practice poor password policy, and in Cybersecurity we’ve “People, Process and Technology” People (You and I) is regarded as the weakest link of attack, why? Because there’s a lot of human error and negligence. Today’s daily skill up is password management. 1. Don’t use your name, email, date of birth or common names and numbers as password. 2. Don’t reuse passwords, if there’s a data breach, one attack can lead to multiple attack on you. 3. Use MFA (double layer security for more protection) 4. Always log out of your devices at work or home. Your colleague might be the attacker.
