This new, re-released version of True Strike 2 has been completely re-designed for the Kontakt format and comes with Native Instruments Kontakt Player. World percussion For True Strike 2, over 52 individual world percussion instruments have been sampled, covering the following regions: Japanese/Asian, African and European/Turkish. You will find okedo (taiko) drums, doundoun, udu, gomee, brekete, darabukas, bowls, bendirs, chappa from various regions, atarigane, kangagui bells and cajon. For all main instruments various idiomatic phrases are available. All world instruments have been recorded in studio or stage environments and are available in two microphone sets: close and room. Please note that the “Hear a Sample” MP3 above was performed using single hit samples only. No loops or phrases were used! Bowed metal True Strike 2 gives you bone-chilling recordings of bowed cymbal, china, vibraphone and crotales. Recorded in a concert hall, you get to choose between an agressive, direct sound that you can process yourself, or an ambient, distant sound that will fit into your suspense cue right away. Prepared piano One of True Strike 2’s special features is the prepared concert grand piano. Recorded in an ambient concert hall using 3 mic positions, this set includes plucked snares, both sustained and dampened struck snares and a barrage of prepared piano effects such as glissandi, clusters, brush hits, wooden hits, hand-struck hits and much more. Dystopian effects True Strike 2 does not only focus on acoustic sounds. The library comes with an impressive set of sound-designed and processed effects. Over two 88-note keyboards worth of otherworldly hits, scapes and spheres are at your disposal. These are unique and instantly inspiring sounds that you will start using from day one. sonic zestGlass Hand Drums Kontakt Halfway between percussion and melodic instrument sits these glass hand drums. Sonically they are reminiscent of hand drums and halo drums. To capture beauty and quirky nature of these instruments 5x round robins and 3 velocity layers were utilised. What you hear is the sound of the drums being patted, clapped and slapped to unearth their haunting tones. A sound design patch also comes with the instrument, which produces a pad-like sound that would probably work well in a horror movie. Sonic Zest’s Glass Hand Drums sits perfectly in any mix. Frendo is a custom-built Soundiron instrument. We created this monster by stringing bailing wire around and through steel plates and bolts, over galvanized steel piping and across wood planks. It was meant to suffer. You can help by mistreating it in horrible ways with screwdrivers, bows, drum sticks, mallets and fingers. The instrument holds a vast amount of otherworldly sounds, which is ideal for composers looking for new disturbing, horror-like textures for their scores. Frendo is partially a mallet instrument, recorded with wooden and rubber mallets, but is also a more traditional string instrument, since we recorded finger plucks and bows. It's the sound of Satan's cello, weeping softly for your burning soul. Made of knotty pine, rusted steel bailing wire, eye bolts, hooks, deck screws, hurricane brackets and an old 24" bass drum, this 5-stringed son of a bitch was 8 feet long and 3 feet wide. Behold an industry first: real legato transitions for chords. For Colours: Orchestrator, ProjectSAM recorded major and minor chords with all possible transitions between them. For example, C major and F minor were recorded separately, as well as C major changing into F minor and vice versa. The result is extremely realistic, musical and evocative. The two ensembles recorded for Orchestrator are strings performing with choir and brass performing with woodwinds. A full set of legato chords is available for these two arrangements.
