The line graph shows the number of international visitors coming to the UK as well as reasons for their visit from 1989 to 2009. Overall, the number of foreign visitors rose over the period, albeit to different degrees. Notably, the vast majority of people came to the UK for holidays, despite fluctuations throughout. In more detail, over 6 million people showed holiday as a reason for their visit in 1989. This figure started to increase, and reached its an all-time high of around 9 million in 1999, which was followed by a sharp drop to nearly 7 million in 2004. After 5 years, it followed by recovery and managed to record its peak in the final year. Meanwhile, those coming to the UK for business purposes and to visit friends and relatives increased in somewhat similar pattern. The figure for the former started at over 5 million, which was followed by a sharp decline to 4 million, before hitting its peak of 8 million between 2004 and 2009. From that point onwards, its figure started decreasing slightly and finished the period with 7 million.

It is predicted that the number of older people surpass the young in the future. While this case can be beneficial to some extent, I think the reduction in the number of younger generation can have negative implications. One of the major benefits of having more senior citizens is that young people can leverage their experience and wisdom. Many young people do not know what to do in their difficult times or at least cannot find a trustworthy person. For such moments, the old are the ones who can definitely help them to get out of this difficult situations. Moreover, old people can help their family members to bring up their grandchildren. At present, many young families, especially, cannot allocate time for their children, and they hire a person who can take the responsibility of giving a nurture for them. However, mostly they do not be as good as their own parents and relatives. In this situation, the old can take the role of parents and do their best for their grandchildren. For example, when I was also young, I was brought up by my grandmother since my parents used to work full-time to bring food to the table. On the other hand, I am of the opinion that the decline in the number of young people in favor of the old can have devastating consequences to the economy. When there are less young men or women in the country, the whole nation suffers from it a lot. The position of the young cannot be replaced by anything but themselves. The more people get older, the more money it takes to employ workers, which is mainly because this situation requires the immigration of foreigners. The country to find employees will have many foreign people come to their land by offering a huge amount of money. Japan can be a perfect example, this country has many opportunities and facilities to work, but their population is aging, which has made them to call for others from abroad. In conclusion, although it is sometimes good to have many older people in the country to apply their expertise, I feel that the young are much more important for the welfare of the society and the economy of the country.

The process illustrates how smoked fish is made. Overall, there are three-teen different stages involved in a linear process, starting with catching fish using a net and culminating with making them ready for sale in the fish shop. In the first stage, fish are caught with the help of a specially designed net, and those are sent to the port on the boat. After that, they are frozen at 0 C, before thawing them in fresh water. Following that, each one of them is cut open to remove its head and intestines so that they are put into the dish which is filled with salt water and colored in yellow. In the next stage, they are smoked and made ready for packaging. The packaged smoked fish are frozen in a special container at 0C and stored to preserve it. Now, they are ready to distribute, which is followed by the distribution via van to the fish shop where fish are sold.

The table shows how much oil was produced daily in four different countries between 200 and 2004. Overall, Nigeria and Congo were much more predominant oil producers, with the former increasing its output and the latter decreasing it over the period, eventually overtaking the dominance in the final year. Of particular note is that although Chad entered the market later in the period, the number of barrels produced per day rose substantially and reached the level of Somalia, in the end. In 2000, Nigeria started the period with producing 205 000 barrels per day. After a year, its figure saw an increase of 5 000 barrels, before going down to 190000 in 2002. From this year onwards till the end, Nigeria’s oil production started to increase and reached 213000 barrels in the final year. However, the figure of daily oil production in Congo decreased constantly during the years, and recorded 203000 barrels, which was a decrease of 72000 barrels, in the final year. As for Chad and Somalia, they ended the period with the same results. The former started to produce oil in 2003 with 8000 barrels, and then increased to 50000 barrels in 2004 barrels, meanwhile the latter saw a substantial increase from 5000 barrels to 50000 barrels over the period.
