~ Public at Risk due to FRV Mandates ~ Shannon Deery By restricting firefighters from working because of a redundant vaccine mandate, the public is been placed at risk for operational response for emergencies in the state of Victoria. The recalcitrant Covid-19 vaccination policy of the FRV is resulting in a depleted staffing model for emergency response and protection of the state’s infrastructure and key stakeholders, as well as the community at large. The FRV policy is also not in alignment with TGA recommendations nor does it hold common sense due to the knowledge that Covid 19 is merely a common cold with limited health risks across all demographics. On top of the hubris existence of this introduced employment condition, it is punitive for the stood down firefighter.
