1) The Appointment Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of IAS Rakesh Ranjan as Chairman of Staff Selection Commission (SSC).
2) The Ministry of Education inaugurated the month-long "Summer Fiesta 2024" at National Bal Bhavan.
➨ Summer Fiesta is a month-long camp comprising over 30 types of different activities for children aged between 5 to 16 years.
3) IIT Madras-incubated startup Agnikul Cosmos test launched the indigenously designed and developed world’s first rocket with a single-piece 3D printed engine from Sriharikota.
➨Agnibaan - SOrTeD (sub-orbital technology demonstrator) was launched from India's first private launchpad, Dhanush, established by the startup.
4) Divya Deshmukh emerged victorious at the Sharjah Challengers chess tournament, showcasing her skills in the classical format.
5) For the sixth consecutive year, London-based Indian origin artist Anish Kapoor has topped the Hurun India Art List of the most successful Indian artists alive, released by the Hurun Research Institute.
