MARKET UPDATES FOR TODAY: October 23, 2026 📉 U.S. Stocks Slide as Fresh AI Spending Concerns Trigger Tech Selloff. U.S. stocks fell sharply on Thursday as disappointing investor reactions to major corporate earnings reignited concerns over the cost and profitability of artificial intelligence investments. The Nasdaq Composite plunged 2.6%, its steepest daily decline since early June, while the S&P 500 dropped 1.21%; the Dow Jones Industrial Average edged up just 0.02%. 💻 Semiconductor Stocks Lead the Decline. The Philadelphia Semiconductor Index tumbled 6.7%, marking its biggest one-day percentage drop since June 23. Major chipmakers, including Intel, AMD, SanDisk, and Marvell, each fell more than 8% as investors reassessed the outlook for AI-related companies. ⚠️ Meta and Tesla Fall Despite Earnings Highlights. Meta Platforms shares plunged 7% despite beating earnings expectations, as its AI spending drove its first cash outflow in more than a decade and raised questions about future funding needs. Tesla fell 3.1% even after reporting positive free cash flow and lowering its planned capital spending for 2026. 🛢 Rising Oil Prices Add to Inflation Fears. Crude oil prices climbed to a five-month high following new attacks by Iran-backed Houthis on Saudi targets. With geopolitical tensions threatening to keep inflation elevated and U.S. unemployment claims remaining near multi-decade lows, investors are increasingly anticipating another Federal Reserve rate hike before year-end. 📊 Earnings Results Remain Mixed Across Sectors. Despite the technology selloff, some companies posted strong gains. Procter & Gamble rose 5.6% after beating expectations, Lockheed Martin climbed 7% after raising its annual forecast, and Spotify surged 11.1% on a stronger-than-expected profit outlook. 🔎 For traders, the key factors to watch are AI spending plans, semiconductor performance, oil prices, and Federal Reserve rate expectations. While earnings results remain relatively strong overall, growing doubts about AI profitability and persistent inflation concerns could contribute to further market volatility. With AI stocks selling off again amid concerns over spending and profitability, alongside rising oil prices and interest rate uncertainty, markets could remain volatile.  Understanding how to evaluate stocks as momentum shifts across sectors can help traders make more informed decisions. MARKET UPDATES FOR TODAY: October 22, 2026 📈 Nasdaq Leads Wall Street Higher as AI Optimism Returns. U.S. stocks climbed on Wednesday as stronger-than-expected results from SpaceX and Super Micro Computer boosted confidence in AI-related companies. The Nasdaq Composite rose 1.05%, the S&P 500 gained 0.58%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average advanced 0.69%. 💻 SpaceX and Super Micro Lift AI Sentiment. SpaceX shares surged 7.8% after the company reported its first profit as a publicly traded business, while Super Micro Computer jumped 9.6% after forecasting quarterly revenue and profit margins above expectations. The positive results also lifted Dell Technologies by 5.3% and Hewlett Packard Enterprise by 3.7%, easing concerns about the strength of AI demand. 📊 Semiconductor Stocks Rebound. The Philadelphia Semiconductor Index rose 2%, while the S&P 500 Information Technology sector gained 1.6%, leading all major sectors. The rebound offered some relief after recent losses, although investors remain focused on whether massive AI investments can generate sufficient returns. ⚠️ Communication Services Stocks Weigh on Gains. Communication services stocks fell 1.3%, limiting the broader market's advance. AT&T plunged 6.5% despite beating earnings expectations, while Netflix dropped 5.3% after issuing a weaker-than-expected fourth-quarter profit forecast; Alphabet also declined 1.6%. 🚀 Tesla Gains as Investors Watch More Earnings. Tesla rose 3.4% during regular trading and gained further after releasing its results following the market close. Meta also advanced in after-hours trading following its earnings release, keeping attention firmly on whether major technology companies can sustain AI-driven growth. 🔎 For traders, the key factors to watch are AI earnings, semiconductor performance, and whether investor confidence in AI spending continues to improve. While recent corporate results have supported a rebound, mixed performance across sectors shows that market sentiment remains sensitive to earnings and future growth expectations.

MARKET UPDATES FOR TODAY: October 21, 2026 📈 The Dow outperformed as Wall Street mostly moved higher. The Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 1.02%, while the S&P 500 gained 0.28%. The Nasdaq Composite edged down 0.02% as technology stocks weighed on the broader market. 🏥 Healthcare stocks led the rally. The healthcare sector reached a record high, with Eli Lilly, UnitedHealth, Merck, Johnson & Johnson, and Amgen contributing to the gains. Small-cap stocks also performed well, with the Russell 2000 rising 1.65%. 💻 Technology stocks lost momentum as AI concerns persisted. The technology sector fell 0.3% as investors continued questioning whether massive AI investments would generate sufficient returns. Investors are now watching upcoming earnings from Meta and Tesla for clues about the outlook for major technology companies. 📊 Corporate earnings triggered significant moves in individual stocks. 3M surged 5.8% after raising its full-year profit forecast, while Equifax jumped 11.3% on stronger-than-expected earnings. Hasbro also climbed 11.2% after increasing its full-year revenue outlook. 🛢 Oil prices retreated amid geopolitical uncertainty. Energy stocks underperformed as traders weighed diplomatic developments involving Iran and Pakistan against renewed attacks on Saudi infrastructure and reports of vessel attacks in the Gulf. 🔎 For traders, the key factors to watch are upcoming technology earnings, healthcare sector momentum, small-cap performance, and oil price movements. As investors explore opportunities beyond AI stocks, shifting market leadership could create different setups across sectors, while earnings results and geopolitical developments may continue influencing sentiment.

MARKET UPDATES FOR TODAY: October 20, 2026 📈 Nasdaq Leads Wall Street Rebound as AI Stocks Recover. U.S. stocks rebounded on Monday as investors returned to semiconductor and AI-related stocks following last week's sharp selloff. The Nasdaq Composite rose 1.11%, the S&P 500 gained 0.41%, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average edged down 0.07%. 💻 Semiconductor Stocks Snap Eight-Day Losing Streak. The Philadelphia Semiconductor Index climbed 1.6%, ending an eight-session losing streak during which it fell around 15.7% — its longest such decline since 2008. The rebound came as investors bought beaten-down technology stocks, although concerns over rising interest rates and the high cost of AI infrastructure remain. 📊 Major Tech Earnings Could Determine the Next Move. Investors are now turning their attention to upcoming earnings reports from major technology companies, including Meta and Tesla. Markets will be looking for signs that heavy AI investments can generate sufficient returns, with analysts cautioning that the recent recovery does not necessarily mean the selloff is over. 🛒 Amazon and Tesla Help Lift Consumer Stocks. Amazon shares jumped 5% after Morgan Stanley named the company its top pick, while Tesla gained 3.8%. Intel also advanced 2.4% following an analyst upgrade, while steelmaker Cleveland-Cliffs surged 16% after reporting stronger-than-expected third-quarter profits. ⚠️ Market Weakness Persists Beneath the Surface. Despite gains in major indexes, seven of the S&P 500's 11 sectors ended lower, and declining stocks outnumbered advancing ones on both the NYSE and Nasdaq. Cloud computing company CoreWeave also finished down 0.4%, as concerns about its substantial debt burden continued to weigh on investor sentiment. 🔎 For traders, the key factors to watch are semiconductor performance, upcoming AI earnings, interest rate expectations, and whether the rebound broadens across the market. Monday's gains offer some relief after last week's losses, but continued volatility remains possible as investors reassess AI valuations and spending.

MARKET UPDATES FOR TODAY: October 19, 2026 📈 U.S. Stock Futures Rise Ahead of a Busy Earnings Week. U.S. stock futures edged higher on Monday after the S&P 500 fell 1.1% on Friday, marking its worst weekly performance since June. Investors are preparing for a busy earnings week, with more than 70 S&P 500 companies scheduled to report results, including Tesla and Meta Platforms. 💻 AI Stocks Face Renewed Scrutiny. Investors are watching closely to see whether massive investments in artificial intelligence infrastructure can deliver sufficient returns. Friday’s technology selloff pushed the VIX volatility index to a four-month intraday high, reflecting growing uncertainty over valuations and future earnings. 🛢 Oil Prices and Inflation Remain Key Concerns. Oil prices edged lower on Monday, with Brent crude falling 0.7% after recent gains brought prices close to $110 a barrel. Persistent fuel and food inflation is complicating the interest-rate outlook, while the Federal Reserve enters its communications blackout ahead of its October 28 policy decision. 🌏 China’s Economic Data in Focus. Investors are also awaiting China’s third-quarter GDP figures and other economic data for fresh clues about the health of the world’s second-largest economy. Weak consumer spending, sluggish private investment, and the prolonged property downturn remain concerns, despite expectations of a slight rebound in growth. ⚠️ Geopolitical Risks Add to Market Uncertainty. Tensions between the U.S. and Ukraine have intensified, while disruptions to energy supplies and uncertainty surrounding Russian oil flows continue to influence markets. Investors are bracing for potential swings in stocks and bonds as corporate earnings, interest-rate expectations, and geopolitical developments converge. 🔎 For traders, the key factors to watch are AI earnings, China’s economic data, oil prices, inflation, and Federal Reserve expectations. These developments could influence market volatility and create shifting opportunities across sectors as investors reassess growth prospects and risk. With all these, markets could see further shifts as investors reassess where potential opportunities lie…  Join our FREE 3-Day Live Implementation Event and build an Automated Trading Machine with us, step by step, using the Trade To Win strategy… so you can identify and assess potential trade setups without spending hours searching through charts or writing code. MARKET UPDATES FOR TODAY: October 16, 2026 📈 U.S. stocks rebounded as investors shifted from AI to healthcare. The S&P 500 gained 0.33% to close at 7,744.06, recovering from early losses. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 1.08%, while the Nasdaq edged up 0.08%. 🏥 Healthcare and consumer stocks led the recovery. Eli Lilly climbed 3.55%, UnitedHealth gained 2.79%, and Walmart advanced 1.4% following a rating upgrade from Deutsche Bank. Healthcare was the best-performing S&P 500 sector, rising 1.84%. 💻 AI and semiconductor stocks remained under pressure. Nvidia fell 1.84% after TSMC struck a cautious tone on its 2027 outlook despite reporting another record quarterly profit. Dell Technologies dropped 6.9%, Hewlett Packard Enterprise declined 7.1%, and semiconductor stocks recorded their seventh consecutive session of losses. ⚠️ Rising inflation is fueling interest rate concerns. U.S. producer prices recorded their largest increase in four and a half years in September, following hotter-than-expected consumer inflation data. Traders raised the probability of a Federal Reserve rate hike by December to 67%, up from 62% the previous day. 📊 Investors are reassessing market leadership and valuations. While the S&P 500 remains up around 13% in 2026, much of its gain has been driven by AI-related stocks. Concerns over borrowing costs, elevated valuations, and the sustainability of AI-driven growth are prompting investors to explore more defensive sectors. 🔎 For traders, the key factors to watch are inflation data, Fed rate expectations, semiconductor performance, and shifts between growth and defensive stocks. As market leadership changes, different sectors and individual stocks may respond differently to economic developments and investor sentiment. With investors shifting from AI stocks to defensive sectors amid inflation and interest rate concerns, market leadership may be changing. MARKET UPDATES FOR TODAY: October 15, 2026 📉 U.S. stocks suffered their sharpest daily decline in months as concerns over AI valuations and rising inflation rattled investors. The S&P 500 fell 1.1%, ending its 53-session streak without a 1% drop — its longest period of calm since January 2020. 💻 Technology and semiconductor stocks led the selloff. The Nasdaq 100 plunged 2%, marking its worst session since July, while semiconductor stocks extended their losing streak to six sessions, bringing their cumulative decline to nearly 12%. 📈 Inflation data added to concerns about interest rates. Consumer prices rose 0.6% in September, the fastest monthly increase since April, raising fears that the Federal Reserve may need to consider further rate hikes. Small-cap stocks were hit particularly hard, with the Russell 2000 falling 1.9%. ⚠️ Credit market concerns added further pressure. AI cloud-computing provider CoreWeave saw its shares plunge 15% as its corporate debt fell to distressed levels, intensifying worries about risks within the AI infrastructure sector. 📊 Despite the pullback, the S&P 500 remains relatively close to its recent record high. However, investors are increasingly questioning whether expensive AI-related stocks can sustain their momentum as inflation, borrowing costs, and credit risks weigh on sentiment. 🔎 For traders, the key factors to watch are inflation data, Fed rate expectations, semiconductor performance, and signs of stress in AI-related companies. With volatility returning after months of relative calm, individual stocks may react differently as investors reassess valuations and growth expectations. MARKET UPDATES FOR TODAY: October 14, 2026 📉 US stocks slipped on Tuesday as pressure on chip stocks, mixed bank earnings, and oil price volatility weighed on investor sentiment. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.35%, while the S&P 500 was nearly flat and the Nasdaq Composite declined 0.15%. 💻 Semiconductor stocks remained under pressure, extending a broader chip sector sell-off. South Korea’s KOSPI index dropped more than 5% as memory giants Samsung and SK Hynix fell, while concerns grew after Chinese chipmaker CXMT announced progress on a more efficient memory design. 🤖 AI-related stocks also faced some caution after Broadcom CEO warned that some investors may be speculating on AI without fully understanding the companies they are investing in. His comments added to concerns that parts of the AI trade may have become overheated after strong gains this year. 🏦 Investors also turned their attention to the start of third-quarter earnings season, with major banks reporting mixed results. JPMorgan Chase missed profit expectations, while Wells Fargo, Citigroup, and Goldman Sachs exceeded analyst forecasts, although the overall banking sector still declined as executives expressed a more cautious outlook. ⛽️ Oil prices added another layer of uncertainty, with crude prices pulling back after Brent crude recently climbed above $106 per barrel. Higher energy costs remain a key concern for markets as investors continue watching inflation and interest rate expectations. 🔎 For traders, the focus now remains on whether the AI and semiconductor pullback is a temporary correction or a sign of changing market sentiment. Earnings results, inflation trends, and how major companies perform during this reporting season will likely determine the next market direction. With chip stocks pulling back and investors questioning the AI rally, having a clear process to evaluate potential opportunities becomes even more important. MARKET UPDATES FOR TODAY: October 13, 2026 📉 U.S. stocks ended mixed on Monday as semiconductor weakness weighed on technology shares. The S&P 500 slipped 0.1%, while the Nasdaq 100 fell 0.7%. The Dow Jones Industrial Average bucked the trend, gaining 0.4%, supported by strength in Salesforce. 💻 Chipmakers faced renewed selling pressure ahead of earnings season. Micron Technology fell 3.9% amid concerns about advances in China's next-generation chip technology, while Nvidia, AMD, and Intel also came under pressure. Semiconductor ETFs declined between 2.5% and 3%. 📈 Salesforce shares rose around 2% after receiving a double upgrade from Bank of America. Meanwhile, Meta launched its latest AI model, and Microsoft announced plans to scale up deployment of its in-house AI chips from next year, highlighting continued competition and investment across the AI industry. 🛢 Oil prices climbed amid renewed uncertainty over the Russia-Ukraine situation. U.S. WTI crude rose 2.1% to $93.74 per barrel, while Brent crude gained 1.8% to $106.65, adding to concerns about inflation and higher costs. 📊 Investors are now turning their attention to third-quarter earnings season, which kicks off with major banks including JPMorgan, Morgan Stanley, and Wells Fargo. Results and company guidance could offer clues about the strength of corporate earnings, the sustainability of AI spending, and the impact of higher interest rates. 🔎 For traders, the key factors to watch are semiconductor performance, AI developments, oil prices, and upcoming earnings reports. While some technology stocks are facing pressure, individual companies are showing different levels of strength, making stock selection increasingly important. MARKET UPDATES FOR TODAY: October 12, 2026 📈 The S&P 500 remains near record highs, but opportunities may be emerging beyond technology stocks. Market strategist Art Hogan believes investors should pay attention to sector rotation, as financials, healthcare, and industrials could gain ground after lagging behind technology in recent months. 💻 Technology stocks remain important, but expectations are high. Even strong earnings could disappoint if companies fail to meet investors’ ambitious forecasts. Hogan sees potential opportunities when quality companies experience pullbacks driven by expectations rather than deteriorating business fundamentals. 🏦 Financials and healthcare are also worth watching. Hogan highlighted JPMorgan Chase and Eli Lilly, while pointing to industrial companies connected to AI infrastructure as another area of interest. However, a price decline alone does not make a stock an attractive opportunity; earnings and business fundamentals still matter. 📊 Interest rates and corporate earnings remain key risks. Persistently high Treasury yields and oil prices could slow economic growth and put pressure on company profits. Investors will be watching third-quarter earnings and forward guidance for signs of whether the market rally can continue. 🔎 For traders, the key factors to watch are sector rotation, earnings expectations, Treasury yields, and which individual stocks are showing relative strength. Even when the broader market is near record highs, different stocks can behave very differently, making it important to identify and evaluate potential setups rather than relying on the index alone. With the S&P 500 near record highs and market leadership shifting between sectors, the challenge is knowing where potential opportunities are emerging rather than simply chasing the stocks that have already rallied. MARKET UPDATES FOR TODAY: October 9, 2026 📉 U.S. tech stocks fell sharply on Thursday after a report raised questions about OpenAI’s revenue. The Nasdaq Composite dropped 1.25%, its biggest one-day decline since mid-August, while the S&P 500 fell 0.47% as technology shares came under pressure. 🤖 OpenAI’s annualized revenue was reportedly approaching $50 billion, below the previously reported figure of $70 billion. The difference partly reflects how revenue is calculated, raising questions about whether AI companies can generate enough income to justify the enormous investments being made in AI infrastructure. 💻 Major technology and semiconductor stocks declined following the report. Nvidia fell 2.9%, Intel dropped 5.3%, and Oracle slid 5.5%, with selling spreading across chipmakers, cloud providers, and other companies involved in the AI ecosystem. 📊 Investors are increasingly focused on whether AI demand can meet high expectations. Much of the recent stock market rally has been driven by AI-related companies, leaving the broader market more dependent on continued growth in the sector. Any signs of weaker-than-expected revenue could affect companies throughout the AI supply chain. 🔎 For traders, the key factors to watch are AI revenue growth, semiconductor stock performance, corporate earnings, and whether technology stocks can maintain their momentum. As expectations remain high, differences in individual companies’ performance could create opportunities as well as risks across the market. With questions emerging about OpenAI’s revenue and AI stocks facing renewed pressure, it’s a reminder that even a booming sector can bring unexpected market shifts and knowing how to evaluate potential setups matters more than simply following the latest market trend. MARKET UPDATES FOR TODAY: October 8, 2026 📊 U.S. stock futures were little changed Wednesday evening after Wall Street pulled back from record highs, as rising Treasury yields renewed concerns about inflation, government debt, and the outlook for interest rates. 📉 The major indexes ended lower, with the S&P 500 falling 0.2%, the Dow dropping 0.7%, and the Nasdaq slipping 0.2%. The S&P 500 and Dow ended four-session winning streaks, while the Nasdaq recorded its first decline in six sessions. 🏦 Treasury yields remained a key source of pressure. The 10-year yield climbed as high as 5.36%, its highest level since 2002, while the 30-year yield briefly reached 5.70%, a 24-year high. Yields later eased following a well-received $39 billion auction of 10-year Treasury notes. 📈 Expectations for another Fed rate hike also shifted. Minutes from the Federal Reserve’s September meeting suggested policymakers viewed the latest rate increase primarily as a response to persistent inflation, while markets were pricing in only about an 18% chance of another hike in October. 🛢 Oil prices added another layer of uncertainty, with Brent crude remaining above $100 a barrel as investors assessed supply disruptions linked to the Iran conflict and attacks involving Yemen’s Houthis. 🤖 Meanwhile, AI demand continues to support the semiconductor sector. Samsung forecast a nearly eightfold jump in third-quarter operating profit, highlighting strong demand for advanced memory used in AI infrastructure, although U.S. chip stocks fell 1.2% during Wednesday’s session. 🔎 For traders, the key factors to watch are Treasury yields, oil prices, Fed rate expectations, and whether strong AI demand can continue supporting technology stocks. With earnings season approaching, investors will also be watching whether corporate results can justify the market’s elevated valuations. When markets are being pulled in different directions, spotting a stock that’s moving is only part of the equation. The bigger challenge is determining whether the setup actually fits your trading criteria. MARKET UPDATES FOR TODAY: October 7, 2026 📈 U.S. stocks climbed to fresh record highs Tuesday as renewed enthusiasm around artificial intelligence continued to drive the market. The S&P 500 rose 0.58% to close at 7,819, marking its first record close since August and its first finish above 7,800. The Nasdaq Composite gained 0.45%, while the Dow rose 0.49%. 🤖 AI and semiconductor stocks remained the main drivers of the rally. Marvell Technology jumped 5.8% after raising its longer-term revenue outlook on strong expectations for AI infrastructure spending, while AMD gained 2.8% after its CEO indicated the company plans to increase chip supply next year. 📉 Falling Treasury yields also provided some relief for investors. The 10-year Treasury yield pulled back to around 5.26%, easing from 5.35% on Monday, although it remains near multiyear highs and continues to put pressure on interest-rate-sensitive sectors. ⚠️ The strength of the rally, however, remains concentrated in technology. Tech is the only market sector to have gained over the past month, while real estate, financials, and materials have each fallen more than 4.5% as higher borrowing costs weigh on their outlooks. 🔎 Nvidia's enormous market value is also amplifying the impact of the AI rally. At nearly $6 trillion, Nvidia represents more than 8% of the S&P 500, meaning gains in a handful of mega-cap technology stocks can have an outsized influence on the broader index. 📊 For traders, the key factors to watch are whether AI momentum can continue lifting technology stocks, whether elevated Treasury yields eventually pressure valuations, and whether market leadership begins to broaden beyond a small group of companies. With the major indexes at record highs but the broader market showing weaker participation, individual stock selection could become increasingly important. With AI and semiconductor stocks pushing major indexes to record highs, the challenge isn’t just finding stocks that are moving… it’s knowing which ones meet your trading criteria. That’s why I’m hosting a FREE 3-Day Live Implementation Event, where I’ll show you my Trade To Win strategy and how to build an Automated Trading Machine to find, filter, and qualify potential setups in minutes — without coding. 👉 Reserve your free spot here: https://learn.onlinegurutrader.com/tel-atm-implementation

MARKET UPDATES FOR TODAY: October 6, 2026 📈 U.S. stocks climbed Monday as mega-cap technology stocks pushed the Nasdaq to a fresh record high. The Nasdaq Composite gained about 1%, while the S&P 500 rose around 0.7% and the Dow Jones Industrial Average added 0.18%. Nvidia, Meta Platforms, and Microsoft were among the major technology stocks supporting the advance. 💻 The rally came despite Treasury yields remaining near multiyear highs. The 10-year Treasury yield rose to 5.31% as concerns over government debt, heavy bond issuance, and elevated energy costs continued to pressure global bond markets. 💵 The stronger dollar also remained in focus. The dollar index gained 0.2%, supported by higher Treasury yields, while the euro remained under pressure as investors continued to worry about France’s rising debt and political uncertainty. 📉 Oil prices provided some relief for markets. Brent crude fell 1.89% to around $100.32 a barrel, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate dropped 1.84% to $89.43, after Middle Eastern crude exports increased and G7 nations pledged to boost supplies. 🏦 Expectations for Federal Reserve policy have also shifted. Recent data showed U.S. job growth slowed more than expected in September, leading investors to largely rule out a rate increase this month. Markets now see roughly a 24% chance of a Fed hike in October, down sharply from 64% a week earlier. 🔎 For traders, the key factors to watch are whether mega-cap technology stocks can sustain their momentum, how elevated Treasury yields affect valuations, and whether easing oil prices provide further support to equities. With the broader market being influenced by several competing forces, individual stocks could continue showing very different levels of momentum. With mega-cap technology stocks pushing the Nasdaq to a record high, some stocks are clearly gaining momentum while others remain under pressure from high Treasury yields and changing market conditions. MARKET UPDATES FOR TODAY: October 5, 2026 📈 U.S. stock futures edged higher Sunday evening after Wall Street closed higher on Friday, as weaker-than-expected jobs data reduced expectations for another Federal Reserve rate hike this month. S&P 500 futures rose 0.1%, Nasdaq 100 futures gained 0.3%, and Dow Jones futures added 0.1%. 📉 The U.S. labor market showed signs of cooling in September. Employers added just 29,000 jobs, well below economists’ expectations of around 90,000, while the unemployment rate increased to 4.2% from 4.1%. 🏦 The softer jobs data has eased concerns about further Fed tightening. Markets are now pricing in roughly an 80% probability that the Federal Reserve will leave interest rates unchanged at its upcoming meeting, compared with previous expectations for another hike. 💻 Technology stocks benefited from the changing rate outlook. The Nasdaq Composite climbed 1.2% on Friday, while the S&P 500 gained 0.7% and the Dow Jones Industrial Average added 0.5%. ⚠️ Elevated Treasury yields remain a concern for investors. Yields initially fell after the jobs report but later moved higher as markets remained cautious that persistent inflation could limit the Fed’s ability to ease policy. 🛢 Oil prices are another key risk for markets. Brent crude has remained above $100 a barrel amid ongoing geopolitical tensions and energy supply disruptions, raising concerns that higher energy costs could keep inflation elevated. 📊 Investors are also turning their attention to the upcoming third-quarter earnings season. Corporate results could provide important clues about whether elevated borrowing costs and energy prices are beginning to weigh on company profits and future expectations. 🔎 For traders, the key factors to watch are the Federal Reserve’s rate outlook, Treasury yields, oil prices, and upcoming corporate earnings. With the labor market cooling but inflation risks still present, markets could continue to see significant differences in momentum across individual stocks.
