If you want to find out how strong you are, go into periods of complete solitude. Remove distractions. Face yourself by just being with yourself and watch what emerges. You will be visited by unconquered demons of sloth, lust, anger and the like. How you respond to your own darkness will be the indicator of your spiritual progress. The world's incessant tumult and puppet show are there to prevent you from looking within. In fact, many people are addicted to these distraction because they are afraid of facing themselves. And so, they remain the same in this lifetime, their souls having made little to no progress. Those who hold truth, freedom and true power (as sovereign beings) above everything know they have to walk the path of darkness. Go into the dark woods of your inner world. Face it, let it penetrate your being and pass through you. Recognize it. Overcome it. Walk on and you will see the dawn. It doesn't happen overnight, but the strong will be victorious in the end.
