📊 Basics of Technical Analysis — Webinar Recap Thanks to everyone who joined our webinar last night! Here's a quick summary of what we covered: 1️⃣ Candlesticks Each candle shows 4 prices for a period: Open, High, Low, Close. 🟢 Bullish (green): buyers in control -> more demand -> price pushed higher 🔴 Bearish (red): sellers in control -> more supply -> price pushed lower 2️⃣ Timeframes Each candle = the price move for your chosen period. A daily chart shows 1 candle per day; a weekly chart compresses that into 1 candle per week. Same market, different "zoom level." 3️⃣ Support & Resistance The only two key levels that everything else builds on: • Resistance — price rises, then rejects the area from below • Support — price falls, then bounces off the area from above 3 things to remember: • Support and resistance can switch roles once broken (old resistance → new support) • It comes down to psychology: more demand = support forms; more supply = resistance forms • Levels often get retested — longs, shorts, and the uncommitted all end up buying near support, reinforcing it 4️⃣ How to Draw Key Levels (MingHan) • Eyeball method — visually spot where price has repeatedly reversed • Moving averages — dynamic, ever-shifting support/resistance 5️⃣ Moving Averages Deep Dive • 20 EMA — short-term pulse, fastest to react, common pullback entry • 40 EMA — momentum confirmer, filters 20 EMA noise • 50 SMA — intermediate trend, dynamic support in healthy uptrends • 200 SMA — the long-term bull/bear divider (Golden Cross = 50 SMA crosses above 200 SMA; Death Cross = below) 💡 Key strategy: The Pullback-to-MA Entry 1. Confirm the trend 2. Wait for a pullback 3. Entry depends on pullback to MA or wait for a green candle confrimation (trade off is risk and return). 📌 Bullish stack: Price > 20 EMA > 40 EMA > 50 SMA > 200 SMA 📌 Bearish stack: reverse order — trend confirmed across all timeframes when aligned Questions?
