Chaoticreations WIPs and Updates

All of Wisper's spots are sorted!! ✅ That was my last day working on commissions now until October 1st. I will return to the studio for a week prior to Wild North to work prep for my table, otherwise I will be on holiday throughout September! Please allow for slower replies during this time if you are not already a client. I look forward to returning to work on suits when I get home! Thank you!!

Back fin assembled for Wisper today, and upper arm spots all sewn down! 💪💪

Approximately 75 little spots were sewn today! Also got the back fur pieces assembled and worked on Wisper's back fin :D

Today's work! The front half of Wisper's torso is ready for its zipper, and the back half has all of its base patterning and larger spots cut out. These larger spots will be applique'd, and the smaller dots that you see drawn in chalk will be hand-sewn in. I've for sure got my work cut out for me with this one, so I'm taking lots of breaks and letting my hands and mind rest while I work on the more complicated stuff!

Forgot to post Wednesday's work before my planned days off began! We got Wisper's body sculpt finished, and her bodysuit patterned and ready to fur! I sculpt bodysuits (both for digitigrade, and plantigrade suits if it's needed) using a combination of cardboard, stuffing, tape and cling film. I try to use as much cardboard and as little cling film as I can, though the way I built up the shapes for this sculpt meant that I needed to use more than usual. The extra cling film from bodysuit projects get saved and used for patterning other projects!

Feetpaws for Wisper are almost done now! Just need to do some cleaning up and final sewing!

Forgot to post again yesterday 😭 Had another shorter day due to the heat. I carved and patterned Wisper's planti footpaws!

After Monday's disaster leading to me having to remake and replace the entire fin, we have a completed tail!! Really pleased with how everything looks! Also made a start on foot bases!

Amphibian-style handpaws for Wisper are about 90% done! Very pleased with the dexterity of these! Pattern used is entirely my own :D They need a bit of cleaning up and their wrist cuffs.

Thanks to unbearable humidity in the studio, I only managed some patterning today ;W;

Decided to work today, to make some tiger tails for my Wild North table. The yellow and pink one's colours were randomly "chosen" via dice-roll for a shortform youtube video... it could have been worse 😭🙏 I don't usually sell tails at con because I usually end up not selling them at all lol, but these were super fun to make!

Wisper's head is done, except for her piercings! 💪💪

Forgot to post yesterday!! Been working away at Wisper's hair. This is 7 hours of work, and I still need to add a few layers to make the length and volume look consistent, but we're getting there!!

Wisper's main face work is done!! So incredibly happy with how the layered eyelashes came out 🥲🩷 Tomorrow will be dedicated to her hair, which I patterned out today.

Fursona fursuit sprays I made as a birthday gift for a friend 🩷 Yuki's scent is sakura/cherry blossom and Jade's is a candyfloss and marshmallow blend! The gift box was cut and foiled in-house!

Incredibly happy with how these spots turned out!! I used the fur applique method that Selkie Suits posted a tutorial on and it worked like a dream 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Lots done today! Wisper got her eyes installed and gills loosely attached (they will be more firmly stitched into place after furring, and asymmetry will be fixed!!), and I got her patterned too. Wisper is the first asymmetrical suit I've done in a very long time!!
