Here's some suggestions on instilling a routine that our kids would find it easy and attractive to follow: 1) Have VISUAL cues placed in their line of movement e.g. packing bags the night before - place their bags in the hallway or an area that your child will certainly pass by. 2) Make it EASY - e.g. place their class timetable at their eye level / or a comfortable place and distance so they can refer to it easily during packing. 3) Reward the behaviour - e.g. Praise your child for packing the bag on their own. Add in a positive gesture to the praise - pat the shoulder [HOLD BACK criticisms or comments like Aiyah, why you never put this in AGAIN? Always so last min!] I hope these tips are useful and will go a long way to establish routine at home :) With much love , Tr Jo
