Q7. The 1960 republican constitution of Ghana provided for a presidential system of government with monocephalous executive who performed both ceremonial and real executive function. This function is a role of the executive arm of government. The executives uses security institutions such as the police and the army to maintain law and order as well as national security. The Government also provides employment for the people. This is done by the executive arm of government through the various civil service institutions, public corporations, ministries and government agencies.
