Manhattan: East 128th Street & Lexington Avenue, a 26-year-old intoxicated man was arrested last week Monday on April 6th, after allegedly attacking an officer while police attempted to take him into custody in East Harlem, within the confines of the NYPD 25th Precinct.
According to police, officers observed the man rolling around on the sidewalk while appearing intoxicated and in distress. Officers attempted to remove him from the scene and get him safely into custody.
During the encounter, police said the man became combative and scratched one officer in the face, causing lacerations. He then allegedly flailed his arms and refused repeated commands to place his hands behind his back.
Due to the resistance, officers deployed a taser to gain compliance and bring the situation under control. The man was then taken into custody.
The injured officer suffered facial lacerations.

Manhattan: East 42nd Street & Park Avenue, chaos unfolded inside Grand Central Terminal this morning when a machete-wielding man slashed three people inside the subway station before being shot by officers from the NYPD Transit Bureau.
Police say officers were alerted around 9:40 a.m. after a civilian flagged them down about a man attacking people with a large knife on the platforms. Officers rushed toward the suspect, found multiple victims suffering slash wounds, and encountered the man still armed. Officers gave numerous orders for him to drop the machete, but he instead advanced toward them, leading one officer to open fire.
After the shooting, the NYPD officers started CPR on the suspect, while officers from MTA Police assisted in triaging the three victims until EMS arrived.
Three victims — an 84-year-old man, a 65-year-old man, and a 70-year-old woman — were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect was also transported to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Bronx: East 154th Street & Courtlandt Ave, a man stole hubcaps off a car — then tried selling them to a random person who turned out to be the owner.
According to witnesses, the suspect stole hubcaps off a parked vehicle last week and started walking around trying to sell them for cash. At some point, he approached a random person on the street and offered the hubcaps. The problem was that those hubcaps belonged to the person he was talking to.
The owner realized that the same hubcaps being offered to him were the ones just stolen from his car. The thief took a classic old beating from the car owner, handed the hubcaps back, and then walked off — likely looking for his next hustle.

Manhattan: Rivington Street & Essex Street, a 25-year-old driver lost control of his yellow taxi, jumped the curb, and struck two pedestrians standing on the sidewalk before crashing into a bodega last week Saturday.
The impact caused significant damage to the storefront and sent debris across the sidewalk. One of the pedestrians was thrown into a basement stairwell, while the other was thrown onto the pavement.
The driver, along with his two 24-year-old passengers, and both pedestrians were transported to the hospital in stable condition and are expected to survive.
No arrests have been made.

The driver, 49-year-old Kevin Crosby, a Bronx man who has 19 arrests on his record and a history of DUI and hitting pedestrians, was allegedly found to be high on weed and PCP. He was arrested and charged:
• Manslaughter (recklessly causes death)
• DWAI (drugs – prior conviction within 10 years)
• Aggravated vehicular homicide (killing one person and injuring another)
The investigation is ongoing by the NYPD Highway District’s Collision Investigation Squad.

Manhattan: West 125th Street & Frederick Douglass Blvd, a serious multi-vehicle crash left one person dead and several others injured in Harlem this past Thursday.
Police say a 49-year-old man driving a Hyundai Tucson was heading eastbound on West 125th Street when he struck two men riding e-bikes at the intersection of Frederick Douglass Boulevard, within the confines of the 28th Precinct.
After hitting the e-bike riders, the driver continued eastbound, crashing into a parked NYPD vehicle, which then struck a parked Lexus NX350. The Hyundai then slammed into a parked tractor trailer and a Toyota RAV4 driven by a 40-year-old man.
EMS rushed both e-bike riders to the hospital in critical condition. One of the victims, a 28-year-old man, was later pronounced dead. The second rider, a 33-year-old man, remains in critical condition.
Two occupants of the Lexus, a 23-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man, along with the driver of the Toyota, were transported to the hospital in stable condition.

Bronx: West Fordham Road & Grand Avenue, a 70-year-old man was found dead early Friday morning on the street in the Fordham section of the Bronx.
According to police, EMS and officer from the NYPD 52nd Precinct responded to a 911 call around 6:30 a.m. on March 6 for an unconscious man in front of a building on West Fordham Road. Upon arrival, officers found the man unconscious and unresponsive on the ground.
EMS responded to the scene and pronounced the man dead.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death. No arrests have been made and the investigation remains ongoing.

Brooklyn: Furman Street & Doughty Street, a chaotic scene unfolded last Monday evening as a large group of kids flooded Pier 2 at Brooklyn Bridge Park and began acting erratically and hostile, sparking multiple fights and drawing a heavy police response.
Officers from the 84th Precinct arrived and issued repeated warnings for the crowd to disperse, but many individuals refused to comply as tensions continued to escalate. Officers eventually moved in and took multiple people into custody, issuing summonses as the disorder was brought under control.

Brooklyn: Remsen Avenue & Church Avenue, achaotic rampage unfolded along Remsen Avenue when an individual began damaging multiple businesses in the area.
The individual entered a Metro PCS store near 560 Remsen Avenue and removed a chair from inside the location. The chair was then thrown at the front door of a nearby Total Wireless store, also located at 560 Remsen Avenue, shattering and damaging the glass. The individual then proceeded to a nearby deli, where additional property damage was reported inside the establishment.
Moments later, the suspect was seen fleeing the area while armed with a knife. The individual entered a barbershop located at East 93rd Street and Linden Boulevard and used the knife to slash and cut one of the chairs inside, causing further damage.
Officers from the NYPD 67th Precinct quickly responded and placed the suspect under arrest.

Brooklyn: East New York Avenue & East 96th Street, a violent brawl erupted on Sunday evening, sending groups of youths into a chaotic fight that forced police to intervene and clear the area.
The incident unfolded near after a flyer circulating on social media promoted a “link-up” gathering scheduled for March 8th at 3:30 p.m. the link up poster called to leave the drama home.
By around 6:30 p.m., a separate group of kids also showed up, and tensions quickly spiraled into a full-blown fight involving multiple youths.
NYPD officers from the 77th Precinct responded and dispersed the crowd, restoring order at the park.

Brooklyn: Conklin Avenue & Rockaway Parkway, a near fight broke out after a FedEx driver double-parked on a one-way street while organizing packages in the back of the truck, blocking the lane and causing traffic to stack up with no way for cars to pass.
As the driver sorted through boxes in the cargo area, a frustrated motorist approached the truck and shoved a pile of packages, causing the stack to collapse onto the ground.
Tensions quickly escalated between the driver and the motorist, but a full fight was avoided when pedestrians stepped in and restrained both parties.

As officers escorted the individual to a marked police vehicle, three additional individuals at the scene began acting disorderly, police said. They were also arrested removed to the precinct and issued summonses for Disorderly Conduct.

Queens: 41st Road & 10th Street, officers from NYPD Queens North operating in the confines of the NYPD 114th Precinct, arrested one person on an alleged weapons charge after officers allegedly observed him trespassing on the roof of a NYCHA building in Astoria.
According to police, the officers conducting patrol at the location and observed an individual standing on the roof despite clear and unobstructed signage stating, “No Trespassing in Lobby and Rooftop Door.”
The individual was taken into custody without further incident. A search conducted incident to a lawful arrest allegedly recovered multiple crack pipes containing suspected crack cocaine residue, a glassine envelope with suspected crack cocaine residue, and a knife.

Bronx: East 241st Street & White Plains Road, officers from the 47th Precinct observed an individual 2 weeks ago Thursday hopping the turnstile without paying the fare at the Wakefield-241st Street subway station in the Bronx. When officers attempted to place the suspect under arrest for theft of service, he resisted, leading to a brief struggle before being taken into custody.
The suspect, a 22-year-old male from Mount Vernon, NY, was arrested and charged:
• Intentionally/Fraudulently Obtain Transportation without Payment
• Obstructing Governmental Administration
• Criminal Trespass

Bronx: Baychester Blvd & Mall Blvd, a large group of reckless teenagers disrupted operations at the Mall at Bay Plaza in the Baychester area of the Bronx.
Reports indicate that up to 500 teens, primarily aged 13 to 19, gathered yesterday for a planned "takeover" event promoted on social media platforms like TikTok. The crowd moved through stores, knocking over displays, taking merchandise without payment, and breaking windows, including at a nearby McDonald's. Objects such as bottles, ice chunks, and chairs were thrown at responding police officers.
Officers from the NYPD 45th Precinct responded following multiple 911 calls for crowd control. Eighteen individuals were arrested: 17 juveniles and one 19-year-old is facing charges including rioting and unlawful assembly. No serious injuries occurred.

Staten Island: Vanderbilt Avenue & Irving Place, a 47-year-old man was arrested last week Sunday by officers of the NYPD 120th Precinct after refusing to identify himself and resisting officers during a police encounter
Police say officers approached the individual for committing a violation. When they asked him to identify himself, he refused and started walking away from them. Officers then attempted to take him into custody, at which point he resisted arrest.
The suspect, a 47-year-old man, was arrested and charged:
• Resisting Arrest
• Obstructing of Governmental Administration
• Violation of Local Law

Brooklyn: Truxton Street & Broadway, a visibly impaired individual caused a disturbance aboard an A train headed toward Far Rockaway, Queens while stopped at Broadway Junction after moving throughout the car and verbally harassing passengers.
The person repeatedly went back and forth with riders, escalating tensions inside the train.
Eventually, the impaired individual approached a passenger standing near the doors. That passenger instructed him multiple times to sit down and back off. As the impaired person remained in close proximity, the passenger pushed him back, sparking a brief physical exchange.
A brief verbal exchange followed before tensions boiled over. The passenger by the door then grabbed the individual by his shirt and forcefully hurled him off the train. The impaired person fell to the platform floor as the doors closed, and the train continued on its route.
