Saving Bubble Gum & Candies
It would be such a shame to lose all the music that Telegram’s moderators tried to wipe out along with the Bubble Gum & Candies channel. That’s why I’ve set out to create a series of compilations under the same name — to preserve everything that’s been shared on the channel since 2018. There’s an incredible amount of worthy music there — probably enough for 30 or 40 volumes.
Our team at the sound lab will help remaster and re-rip anything necessary to ensure these compilations sound top-notch.
At the moment, I’m looking for a designer who’d like to join the project and take on the cover artwork.
If you’re passionate about typography and minimalist design, drop me a line at @mahumachinen and become part of the project.
| 2 | Today’s really just random notes — I was tossing in whatever caught my ear while clearing out space on one of the hard drives.
There’s honestly nothing better than just digging through music.

| 5 | 🔴 We always have a choice—settle for some crusty rip off Soulseek, or craft a lush, full-bodied transfer for our own ears. And just the same, we can turn a blind eye to the artist’s dues, or go that extra step: track them down, give credit where it’s due, and make sure they’re rightly recognised. | 62 |

| 7 | Убрал все боповые ударные. Был там виртуозное соло на 2 минуты, но я его аккуратнеько купировал, оставил только вокальную партию как основу. | 47 |

| 10 | Dropping 3 of my favourite tracks. Not exactly rare stuff, but two of them are properly mastered and sound better than anything I’ve run into lately, and the third — just a favourite deep house tune ...

[Faroe Islands, 1986 | Synth-pop]
An absolute collector’s gem from the Faroe Islands — a wildly eclectic blend of Nordic synth-pop originals and unhinged cover versions of pop icons. Proper outsider energy, and a real oddity that somehow works beautifully.
Only one copy available for sale worldwide.
The last known sale was back in 2021 — VG+ for €70.
Given a 15% annual rise in the rare vinyl market, that would make it worth around €122 today — and we’re offering it for just €120 before the price goes up.
Limited offer. No reissues.

| 18 | Here’s what a subscriber on Boosty wrote:
“Please don’t take what I say as gospel — everyone visiting your channel is different.
My approach is very subjective. If you’ve got subscribers who don’t even need a link to Telegram, then I’m probably on the opposite end of the spectrum.
I listen to a lot of music every day (I can have it on while designing interfaces). And I love digging for strange dance music — that’s what brings me to your channel, and to all your other projects :)
I feel like if two or three tracks a month from this channel end up in my collection, the subscription is totally worth it.
But then there are tracks that are simply priceless — like Ezry Amrany’s Why Not, or Ricky Rhikardo, or Frøknur by Friends (which, by the way, isn’t even dance music).
There’s always that hope you’ll stumble upon something like that — and that’s what keeps me around long-term.
And your writing is excellent — short, but unhurried. When you read it, it feels like you’ve known this guy for years.”

| 19 | Honeymoon – Liberi Noi… / Ogni Istante Di Più
MB Records, 1983
Standout track: “Liberi Noi…”
There’s something about this record that doesn’t ask for your attention — it demands it. Liberi Noi… by Honeymoon isn’t easily filed under any genre. It’s not quite disco, not really pop, and certainly no ballad. What it is, instead, is a nine-minute kaleidoscope of southern expression, sensuality and unfiltered joie de vivre — la bella vita, pressed into wax.
This isn’t one for crate-diggers chasing bangers. It’s for those who understand that ecstasy often hides in the slow build — in the drama, the gestures, the sweat on the brow just before the chorus drops. Liberi Noi… is a fever dream of freedom, a slice of Italian nocturnal splendour, bottled in vinyl and meant to be played loud, with the windows open.
I’ve just dropped the price on a NM/NM 12” with the full extended dance version — now even below historical median sales.
Only two copies for sale worldwide — and ours is, without question, the best.
