Shaykh, Dr. ‘Abdullāh al-‘Anqarī (hafidhahullah): The graduation tomorrow of a thousand women who completed the Book of Allāh in ar-Riyād is evidence of the good that is in many of our women. Women are the twin halves of men. The good remains in the Ummah amongst the men and women. It is a mistake to focus on shortcomings that come from a group of women as if all of them had fallen into that defect. Is not hijāb an act of worship that Allāh loves and no one performs it on His earth except women? [Twitter of Shaykh, Dr. ‘Abdullāh al-‘Anqarī (hafidhahullah), dated: Oct 27, 2019]

Al-Quran: Khatmah, Hifdh, Daily Recitation Experiences, Anecdotes, Advice, Motivation & More Have hard days where you have no time? Just recite any surahs you know repeatedly. That’s your Quran portion for the day. Not a day where you miss the Quran. Recite from memory or from the text. But never miss. Then you can get back to your actual Quran recitation very soon because that recitation will surely bless your time! note: daily recitation stories to encourage reciting the Quran consistently. hifdh stories to encourage memorizers. khatm of Quran stories from people who do a 3-day khatmah to a 30-day khatmah; this is the end goal — to motivate you to continuously seal/complete the Quran in 30 days or less throughout your life, seeking the promise of Allah that the Quran is Shifa (Healing) and a Blessed Book. some stories are translated and paraphrased from arbic. use the link below to send your story. the form is for everyone who wants to share what they learnt or experienced from their journey with the Quran. The Medicine for Forgetfulness and Sharp Memory ‘Ali ibn Khashram (rahimahullah) said: “I never saw in the hand of Waki (rahimahullah) a book; indeed he only memorized (he had sharp memory; photographic memory). So I asked him about the medicine for memorization, and he asked: “If I teach you the medicine will you use it?” I said: ‘Yes, by Allah.’ He said: “Leave sins. I have not tried anything similar to it for memorization.” [as-Siyar, 9/151, adh-Dhahabi (rahimahullah)]

Al-Quran: Khatmah, Hifdh, Daily Recitation Experiences, Anecdotes, Advice, Motivation & More My health only started bettering when I started reading my portion of daily Quran with intention of ruqya but I also had to listen to ruqyah separately. Combining both of this is important. Baqarah the MOST important. If you can read then read, if you can listen then listen. So 3 things. Your main goal should be to one day be able to read baqrah start to finish. Allah makes it easy. Have intention, Allah will pave a way. I am sure many people on this group have experienced ease in hifz of baqarah and its recitation as we have read in previous stories and many more will surely tell you and motivate you further just like I am sharing mine. the one who does Baqrah knows what I’m talking about. It is essential. 1- Baqrah (listen or read little daily start to finish) 2- Read Quran daily with ruqya intention 3- Listen or read ruqya shariah daily This is on top of all your azkars also and all 5 prayers. Make lots of dua to Allah to help you in worshiping Him. note: daily recitation stories to encourage reciting the Quran consistently. hifdh stories to encourage memorizers. khatm of Quran stories from people who do a 3-day khatmah to a 30-day khatmah; this is the end goal — to motivate you to continuously seal/complete the Quran in 30 days or less throughout your life, seeking the promise of Allah that the Quran is Shifa (Healing) and a Blessed Book. some stories are translated and paraphrased from arbic. use the link below to send your story. the form is for everyone who wants to share what they learnt or experienced from their journey with the Quran. The Tābi’ī Qatādah (rahimahullah) said: No one sits with this Qur’ān Except that he walks away • with an increase • or a decrease Allāh decreed that which He decreed: {شفاء ورحمة للمؤمنين ولا يزيد الظالمين إلا خسارا} {• A healing and a mercy for the Believers • and it doesn’t increase the wrongdoers except in loss.} [az-Zuhd of Ibn al-Mubārak (rahimahullah), 788]

Al-Quran: Khatmah, Hifdh, Daily Recitation Experiences, Anecdotes, Advice, Motivation & More Personally I am motivated to not leave Quran when I find out that missing even one day can mess up my schedule and adversely affect my mood which badly affects my ibadah. So it makes me more keen to do my sabaq (portion) for the day Can you all share what you have noticed that happens when you miss your portion of reading the Quran? Can you also share how reading it improves the situation. Like a before & after comparison? I found that recent advice that was shared here by a mom very motivating, because I like to know what (harmful stuff) is going to happen if I don’t do something that is good for me. I read somewhere “leaving out good deeds is worse than committing sins”. note: daily recitation stories to encourage reciting the Quran consistently. hifdh stories to encourage memorizers. khatm of Quran stories from people who do a 3-day khatmah to a 30-day khatmah; this is the end goal — to motivate you to continuously seal/complete the Quran in 30 days or less throughout your life, seeking the promise of Allah that the Quran is Shifa (Healing) and a Blessed Book. some stories are translated and paraphrased from arbic. use the link below to send your story. the form is for everyone who wants to share what they learnt or experienced from their journey with the Quran. Ibn al-Qayyim - may Allāh have mercy on him - said: “The key to life of the heart: reflecting on the Qur’ān, begging in the early hours of the morning and abandoning sins.” [Hādiy al-Arwāh 139]
