#ScienceSaturday No. 4 The Daisy Chain Universe Awarded the Nobel Prize for physics in 2020, Sir Roger Penrose explains his theory of Conformal Cyclic Cosmology, which states that the ending of the previous universe was the beginning of the current universe. He calls each universe an Aeon. The significance of the theory is that it does not rely on the Big Bang Model for explaining the rapid expansion of the early universe, and also claims that dark energy as well as black hole radiation seeps into our universe from the previous “other side” and has an effect (however slight) on our current Aeon!
