Happy 123rd birthday to Corneliu Zelea Codreanu, Romanian leader of the infamous Iron Guard, advocated for a military and political alliance with Nazi Germany, but was blocked from power in the 1937 elections by King Carol II. He was assassinated on November 30th, 1938 by his rivals in the newly-formed government installed by the King. His Iron Guard was so violently anti-semtitic, the Nazis had to, at one point, tell them to tone it down 😁

I guess we’re not supposed to notice that so far only live action Mulan and Jasmine were both played by phenotypically appropriate actresses. Should we hold out hope that live action Pocahontas will be played by a “pale face” or would that be racially insensitive? 🙄
