first ever prayer request 🙏. A couple weeks ago my lower right leg and foot became sore when walking or standing - very sore - and still is. All data points to a leaky valve in a vein, or veins and the only solution is surgical (collapse the vein). I’ve had this in the past - with pain about 10% of now and occasional instead of constant - and it was remedied three years ago by a top doctor in LA who collapsed two veins and removed another one. It was an excellent surgical procedure and helped tremendously. That same doctor has vacations in July and is very booked. The clinic was able to move things around to get an ultrasound and consultation this coming Thursday. Doctor goes back on vacation that next week. So, assuming he is able to identify the problem and do a new procedure to remedy the issue, I’m looking at a minimum of three more weeks before I may be able to walk again without pain - possibly four or five. So the prayer request is that the doctor is able to identify exactly what’s going on and is able to see me ASAP for the surgical intervention required to repair the issue after the ultrasound examination on Thursday. A same day or next day surgical procedure (the most ideal scenario) would be best, but getting in the week after his vacation is next best. The doctor is one of the best in Los Angeles and I was very happy with him and his staff three years ago. I’m not gonna lie - it sucks this happened in the summer time and I’m missing all the summer activities in Southern California. And, honestly, it hurts a lot too. Thank you in advance for the prayers. 😊🙏 P.S. I’m not opposed to paying extra for a weekend procedure if he and the assistant are up for it.
