⚡️ ️ A new node launched: UMI capacity is 65,536 tx/second! While developing UMI, we wanted to create a network that could process a huge number of transactions and become a real competitor to existing payment systems – Visa and Mastercard. Today we have not only reached the capacity comparable to that of these giants but also outperformed them by as much as 2.5 times (the peak of VISA's capacity is no more than 24,000 transactions per second). Today we're going to reveal a secret. Since the launch, the UMI blockchain has been able to process up to 65,536 transactions per second. But due to the lack of necessity and in order to protect the network against overload, we've been artificially restricting UMI's capacity. Even though the number of transactions on the network is continuously growing, we still don't need such a high capacity (the network successfully copes with the load). However, in about a year of optimization in order to raise the network to a new level of development and demonstrate its power, we developed a new node and thus switched the master nodes into their maximum performance mode, generated and sent several hundred thousand transactions to the network. Several consecutive full blocks can demonstrate the UMI network power and verify its claimed performance. Thus, right now, the UMI network is processing up to 65,536 tx/second — more than VISA and Mastercard (not in the test network, but the main one). And all of this does no harm to the environment. 🔥 To successfully demonstrate UMI's capacity, we sent 2 transactions of 0.02 UMI to all existing addresses with a non-zero balance (2 symbolizes the second version of the node). In total, there were 371,329 addresses and 742,658 transactions. We generated 5 blocks filled each with 65,536 transactions. It took the UMI network only 10 seconds to process all the transactions. In other words, each block was processed in 1 second. 🚀 Thus, UMI has become the fastest cryptocurrency network in the world, which has proved in practice that its main network, not the test one, can achieve incredibly high capacity. It is faster than Solana, Cardano, Free TON and all the others. The new node also paves the way for high-quality, convenient, and fast implementation of new UMI-based products, such as the DeFi ecosystem products (tokens, stablecoins, decentralized exchanges, etc.), new smart contracts, a coin burning mechanism, games using UMI, and a lot more. 🥇 Another important point: a move to a new node has made the UMI blockchain 6 times more lightweight. Разрабатывая UMI, мы сразу поставили перед собой цель создать сеть, способную быстро обрабатывать огромный объем операций и полноценно конкурировать с существующими платежными системами VISA и Mastercard. И сегодня мы смогли не просто сравняться с этими гигантами, а и уверенно обогнать их в целых 2,5 раза (VISA способна обрабатывать на пике не более 24 000 транзакций в секунду). Раскроем вам один секрет: блокчейн UMI технически был способен обрабатывать 65 535 транзакций в секунду с самого первого дня запуска. Но мы искусственно ограничивали пропускную способность, поскольку в этом не было необходимости и чтобы защититься от излишней нагрузки на сеть. И даже сейчас, несмотря на постоянно растущее количество транзакций в сети, особой необходимости в столь высокой пропускной способности все еще нет (сеть по-прежнему успешно справляется с нагрузкой). Однако спустя около года оптимизации — в качестве выхода на новый уровень и демонстрации возможностей сети мы разработали новую ноду и перезапустили тем самым мастер-ноды в режиме максимальной производительности, а также сгенерировали и отправили в сеть несколько сотен тысяч транзакций. Несколько идущих подряд полностью заполненных транзакциями блоков наглядно показывают возможности сети UMI и подтверждают заявленные характеристики. ⚡️ Таким образом, прямо сейчас сеть UMI способна обрабатывать ровно 65 535 транзакций в секунду — больше, чем VISA и Mastercard (уже не в тестовой, а в основной сети). И все это — без вреда для окружающей среды. 🔥 Для успешной демонстрации пропускной способности мы отправили на все существующие адреса с ненулевым балансом 2 транзакции по 0.02 UMI (символично в связи с выходом ноды второй версии). Всего получилось 371 329 адресов и 742 658 транзакций. Благодаря этому сформировалось 10 полностью заполненных блоков по 65 535 транзакций. Все переводы сеть UMI обработала за 10 секунд, то есть каждый блок — за 1 секунду. 🚀 Таким образом UMI, стала самой быстрой криптовалютной сетью в мире, которая реально доказала свою высокую пропускную способность не в тестовой, а именно в основной сети. На практике мы быстрее Solana, Cardano, Free TON и всех остальных. ✅ Новая нода также открывает нам дорогу для качественной, удобной и быстрой реализации новых продуктов на базе UMI, таких как продукты из экосистемы DeFi (токены, стейблкоины, децентрализованные биржи и прочее), новые смарт-контракты, механизм сжигания монет, игры с применением UMI и так далее. 🥇 И еще один немаловажный момент: благодаря переезду на новую ноду, блокчейн UMI стал легче в 6 раз.
