The Kirlian photography, which studies can be traced back to the late 1700s, was officially invented in 1939 by Semyon Kirlian. The Kirlian photographic process reveals visible “aura” or "life-force" around the objects which have been photographed. Semyon developed a machine for Kirlian photography. This machine was using a high-frequency oscillator that operated at roughly 75 kHz. This machine became popular among scientists because images produced by this machine captured the aura of living entities.
