Only 4 times since 1st Jan 2000, when more than 6% of difference recorded between 5 year daily rolling Index CAGR vs 5 Year daily rolling EPS CAGR.
The first was in 2004 itself
when, 5 year daily rolling Index CAGR was 6.9% whereas EPS CAGR was 17.5%.
Second time in 2008
Index 5 year daily rolling CAGR was 9.4% vs the EPS CAGR of 17.7%.
Third in 2022
Nifty 500 5 year daily rolling returns CAGR was 11.3% vs the EPS CAGR of 18.4% in the similar period.
The fourth one is Ongoing in Oct-26
On a daily rolling basis , the last 5 year Nifty 500 has delivered 7.7% returns on CAGR basis vs the EPS growth of 14.1% during the same tenure.
The most interesting is, whenever 5 years daily rolling EPS growth has overtaken the Index returns by a decent percentage. The next 5 years have been fantastic for investors.
