23rd Today is the disappearance day of Srila Jiva Goswami. Srila Jiva Goswami was one of the most prominent Vaishnava Acharyas and belonged to the Brahma-Madhva-Gaudiya Vaishnava lineage. He is also one of the Six Goswamis of Vrindavan. Born around 1513, he was the nephew of Srila Rupa Goswami and Srila Sanatana Goswami. He was renowned for his profound scholarship and is often called one of the greatest scholars and philosophers in history. He authored numerous philosophical works, including the Sat-sandarbha, which provided a systematic theological foundation for Gaudiya Vaishnava philosophy. Following the departure of Srila Rupa Goswami and Srila Sanatana Goswami, he became the spiritual leader for all the Vaishnavas in Vrindavan, Bengal, Orissa and beyond, guiding them in their devotional lives. His life was marked by extreme renunciation and he was intensely focused on spreading the teachings of Lord Chaitanya.
