Russian forces killed 18 people in the village of Komysuvacha in the Zaporizhzhia region using guided aerial bombs, Zelenskyy said. The French company Safran announced that production of AASM Hammer guided aerial bombs is expected to reach approximately 1,400 units in 2026, a significant portion of which is intended for export customers, including Ukraine. By comparison, the company produced only 200 of these weapons in 2022, while in 2025 it produced more than 1,000. At the same time, the company continues to expand its production capacity and plans to reach an annual production of up to 2,000 AASM Hammer units as early as 2027. To this end, Safran has invested 120 million euros in expanding its plant in Montluçon and has cut the production cycle in half. At the same time, Safran is increasing production of rocket engines used in Storm Shadow guided missiles, Exocet anti-ship missiles, Naval Strike Missiles, and the Swedish RBS-15. Production has tripled since 2022, and by 2030, the company plans to increase it sevenfold compared to the original level.

The German company Helsing has unveiled the CONTRA air defense system and two new missiles, the AD-1 Inferno and AD-2 Ambush, designed to combat high-speed drone missiles and guided missiles. The AD-1 Inferno missile reaches speeds of over 700 km/h, with a range of over 20 km and a maximum altitude of 9 km. The simpler AD-2 Ambush solid-fuel missile reaches speeds of 3,000 km/h (2.5 Mach) and is designed for rapid engagement of targets. Both systems initially receive target information from the ground and, in the final phase, guide themselves using a built-in radar. According to Helsing, its proprietary self-navigation radar head is ten times cheaper than competing products, and the price of each missile should not exceed 100,000 euros. Development is scheduled to be completed in the second half of 2027, and if orders are placed, production could reach several thousand units per month.

Instead of expanded Starlink access, he said the speed of what Ukraine already had was reduced. “We are fighting for our lives,” Zelensky said.
