የአዲስ አበባ ዩኒቨርሲቲ ቤተ-መጻሕፍት በዲጂታል ቴክኖሎጂ በመታገዝ የአገልግሎት አሰጣጡን ፈጣንና ምቹ ማድረጉን አስታወቀ፡፡  ግንቦት 25-2018(AAU RADIO FM 99.4)         የአገሪቱ ቀዳሚ የከፍተኛ ትምህርት ተቋም የሆነው የአዲስ አበባ ዩኒቨርሲቲ፣ የቤተ-መጻሕፍት አገልግሎቱን ከዘመኑ የቴክኖሎጂ ዕድገት ጋር ለማስኬድ የሪፎርም ሥራዎችን እያከናወነ መሆኑን አስታውቋል። ቤተ-መጻሕፍቱ የተጠቃሚዎቹን ፍላጎት በብቃት ለማሟላት የጀመረው ይኸው የማዘመን ሥራ፣ በተለይም የመጽሐፍትና የምርምር ሥራዎችን በዲጂታል መልክ ተደራሽ በማድረግ ረገድ ትልቅ ለውጥ እያመጣ መሆኑ ተጠቁሟል።

 የአዲስ አበባ ዩኒቨርሲቲ አብያተ መፅሀፍት ዋና ሀላፊ ዶ/ር ለማ ለሳ  እንደገለጹት፤ ተማሪዎችና ተመራማሪዎች በግቢው ውስጥ በአካል መገኘት ሳይጠበቅባቸው፣ ባሉበት ቦታ ሆነው በኢንተርኔት አማካኝነት የተለያዩ ኢ-መጽሐፍትን (E-books) እና ዓለም አቀፍ የሳይንስ መጽሔቶችን (Journals) በቀላሉ ማግኘት የሚችሉበት የዲጂታል ሥርዓት ተዘርግቷል።

ቤተ-መጻሕፍቱ አገልግሎት ከማዘመኑ ጎን ለጎን፣ የተለያዩ ጆርናሎች ፣በአለም ላይ ታዋቂ በሆኑ አሳታሚዎች የተዘጋጁ ጥናታዊ ፁሁፎች እንዲሁም የማስተርስ እና የዶክትሬት ዲግሪ ተማሪዎች ጥናታዊ ፅሁፎችን በኤሌክትሮኒክ መልክ ተዘጋጅቶ ሌኒቨርሲቲው ማህበረሰብ እና ለሌሎች አካላት ዝግጁ ሆነው እንደሚገኙ ሀላፊው ገልፀዋል፡፡

ዶ/ር ለማ አያይዘውም ቤተ መፅሀፍቱ ዘመኑን ተከትሎ ለውጦችን እያካሄደ ቢገኝም በተጠቃሚዎች በኩል ያሉትን ግብአቶች በአግባቡ የመጠቀም ክፍተት መኖሩን ተቁመዋል፡፡
