R.I.P Skyline Emulator From a post made by Skyline developer: Hello, It is with great sadness that we bring you this news. Recently, Nintendo has issued a DMCA takedown notice against Lockpick RCM which will likely come into effect on Monday, Lockpick is a core part of legally dumping keys from the Switch. They claim that it circumvents their copy protection (TPMs) and therefore violates their copyright. We find ourselves in a position where we are potentially violating their copyright by continuing to develop our p... https://redd.it/13a15m3 @reddit_android

Why Waze is still better than Google Maps I've started driving more often recently and Waze has been my main driving app for my day to day while driving. This past week, however, I exclusively used Maps for my home-work commute because I was curious on how it was holding up against Waze at this time. I will break down what I thought about my experience. Note: My experience is based solely on the Waze/Maps apps for the Pixel 7 phone (not Android Auto). I mostly drive in Portugal (Lisbon area). My phone's language is set to English (UK) ... https://redd.it/139v8td @reddit_android

Let’s talk Notifications Let’s talk about notifications I see a lot of you mention that you think android’s notification system is better. This has never been the case, in my opinion. I prefer iOS notifications philosophy over android’s in almost every way. Largely, I think this depends on the way you use your phone. So each of us will probably have different preferences. I’m someone that tries to deal with all notifications from the notifications themselves. I don’t want to open the app at all unless I can help ... https://redd.it/138dui5 @reddit_android

Pixel 7 Pro flickering lock screen/black screen lock up fix On my Pixel 7 pro, the lock screen began flickering and would go into a black screen and basically lock up. It could come back on in a few minutes to an hour, but I would monstly have to do a soft reset to get it back on. I did a factory reset, that didn't help I was about to get a warranty replacement, then I tried this random thing at work and it fixed it. Settings>Display>Lock Screen I turned off all the options so my lock screen is just a black screen. And it completely fixed the issues,... https://redd.it/138846r @reddit_android

Considering that we are in 2023, there is still any big difference between Android and IOS for the average user? Never had a iPhone, but for a few years the main things that seems to influence most users of both platforms are brand loyalty, price and the convenience of keeping using what is working for them. In the early days the iPhones had the reputation of devices that "simply worked for everything ", while the Android phones were more prone to be considered unpredictable by the consumers in terms of general quality (sometimes good surprises like the Moto G being a really good phone even with its cheap... https://redd.it/13891as @reddit_android
