Rulings pertaining to Sujood At-Tilaawah (The Prostration of Reading) When reading the Qur'an outside of prayer and you come to a Sajdah point: -It is recommended to do Sajdah and not obligatory. - Wudhoo is not required but it is recommended. - There is no Salaam or Takbir when coming up from it. What do you say in the sujood? The same dhikr and du’aa’s are prescribed in sujood al-tilaawah as in the prostration during prayer.

Make sure to say it with an attentive heart, placing full trust in Allāh and insha Allah you will see how easy everything will become. ‘Ali raḍhiyallāhu ‘anhu narrated that: A Mukātab (a slave who has agreed to buy himself out of slavery) came to him and said: “Indeed I am unable to pay off my contract of manumission, so help me.” He said: “Should I not teach you words that the Messenger of Allāh (ﷺ) taught me? If you had a debt upon you similar to the mountain of Seer, Allāh would fulfill it for you. He said: ‘Say... From Allaah the Qur’aan descended from the Protected Tablet (al-Lawh al-Mahfooth) on which it was written to the lowest heaven. In this revelation all of the Qur’aan was sent down at one time to a station in the lowest heaven referred to as “Bayt al-‘Izzah” (The House of Honor or Power). The blessed night on which this descent took place is called “Laylatul-Qadr” (The Night of Decree), one of the odd-numbered nights in the last ten days of the month of Ramadaan. 

Ramadan was made obligatory for the Prophet ﷺ in Sha'ban 2 AH, which was the first Ramadan that he ﷺ fasted. The Prophet ﷺ died in Rabee' Al-Awwal 11AH.

Ramadan was made obligatory for the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) in 2 AH, which was the first Ramadan that he fasted, and the Muslims fasted it with him. This was the same year in which the Battle of Badr took place. Did the Sahaabah (may Allah be pleased with them) fast on the day of Badr? Al-Haafiz Ibn Rajab al-Hanbali (may Allah have mercy on him) stated: "...the Prophet (peace be upon him) went out in pursuit of a caravan of Quraysh that had come from Syria heading towards Madinah, on the Saturday 12th of Ramadan, and he broke his fast on his way to meet it. Ibn al-Musayyab said : ‘Umar said: We went out on two campaigns with the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) in Ramadan, the day of Badr and the conquest (of Makkah), and we broke the fast during both."
