It will be the step that will make you jump higher.

🗞 The Art of Investing A simple strategy that can change your life When it comes to investing, there is often a tendency to overcomplicate matters. Charts are analyzed, economic models are studied, market forecasts are sought. Yet the real mantra capable of building wealth over time is remarkably simple: regularly buy a diversified range of income-producing assets without worrying about market fluctuations. We're not talking about choosing the right time to invest or calculating perfect quantities: the secret is simply to keep buying, consistently, as a habit of life. This philosophy, which at first glance may seem almost too elementary, is based on a fundamental principle: market tends to rise in the long run, despite physiological ups and downs. Those who stop too often to calculate run the risk of becoming immobilized by fear or greed, missing the most important opportunities. Many investors fall into the trap of market timing: they wait for the perfect time to enter or exit the market, in an effort to maximize gains and minimize losses. This is an understandable temptation: no one would want to invest just before a crash. For example, at the beginning of 2017, with the major stock indexes near all-time highs, many wondered whether to wait for a correction. Those who hesitated, however, missed out on a further period of growth. This is a universal lesson: market can remain overvalued for much longer than we imagine. A simple online search for overvalued stocks in any historical era, from 1920s to the present, returns hundreds of articles full of warnings, which have often turned out to be premature or unfounded. Those who always wait for the right moment often end up never investing or getting in too late. In the process, they lose the most powerful effect of all: Time. 👉 https://twitter.com/mirkomilito/status/1916180221675376958 The difference between professional trader & neophyte is that if in these phases you are in trouble, its because you don't have a plan & you don't know how to act when things go wrong. Drawdown moments are part of a trader's life, you just have to overcome: you can't avoid them.

👉 https://twitter.com/mirkomilito/status/1916149519890186673 What I've found works best is a strategy of attack and retreat. You have to burrow into the work and all its difficulties, and keep butting your head up against whatever trading problems you're trying to solve and then you have let it go for a time.

👉 https://twitter.com/mirkomilito/status/1916118816712757474 Losing happens to me on a regular basis as a trader, but my focus remains on finding ways to win. When losing takes control of your emotions, market takes from you. Acceptance of loss is not weakness, its a strength so you can remain the trading game to keep fighting. Never stop.

👉 https://twitter.com/mirkomilito/status/1916088114768187864 In the moment of taking a loss we planned to take is when we are truly tested as traders. Can we accept this loss? In this moment is when the market tests our mental strength. This is something I meditate about to make that right decision in the moment.

👉 https://twitter.com/mirkomilito/status/1916057412207054996 We all make mistakes in trading. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. What experience has done for me in trading is I make less mistakes and fix many of them before they happen again. Mistakes happen just don’t let your mistakes take you out of the game.

👉 https://twitter.com/mirkomilito/status/1915848536035651855 When trading goes well, the markets make us feel smarter than we really are. This is why market is quick to take back from stubborn traders after good runs. Its not about being smart, its about taking when things are good & giving back little when they’re not.

👉 https://twitter.com/mirkomilito/status/1915817834451501327 I’ve learned if I want to get better at something I can’t worry about how good other people are at it: trading is one of those things. We can’t compare ourselves to others. We have to challenge ourselves to see how good we can get. Focus on what we can control.

👉 https://twitter.com/mirkomilito/status/1915787131865497946 In fast markets I’m constantly aware of my breathing to stay hyper focused on my execution & find my rhythm. As fast as markets are moving there is still a rhythm to it. Don’t let the speed of moves take you off your game..slow things down, get into your rhythm.

👉 https://twitter.com/mirkomilito/status/1915756430293938652 People talking about moves in this market as though they are certainties. As traders we can’t be certain anything is going to happen...we have to be confident in our work, but also flexible to change directions as markets tell us to change, particularly these days. Let's focus!

👉 https://twitter.com/mirkomilito/status/1915725726948712667 So many things happening in markets & World out of our control & we’re all glued to the news reporting what’s happening. It’s so easy to lose focus on what’s important to us & what we can control. This is a time for introspection. Focus on what you can control.

👉 https://twitter.com/mirkomilito/status/1915695025100406890 It’s easy to overwhelm yourself with news, headlines & stray from simple important things like bettering your execution. Don’t market hop, stick to your markets, spend more time reviewing trades. Focus your time on finding ways to better execute your trades.

👉 https://twitter.com/mirkomilito/status/1915486147914133913 If we look the charts and say we don’t know what to do right now, we don’t always need answers. We don’t always need to do something. Take the pressure of having to do something off yourself by simply saying I can wait. Don't make market force you to trade right now.
