Why you’re waking up at 2-3am (and how to stay asleep instead)
This is usually why: Your brain thinks it's still daytime.
Your body runs on a circadian clock, and the primary signal that sets this clock is LIGHT. (Interestingly, the same pineal gland linked with deeper awareness is also what regulates your sleep.)
The simple fix...
Block blue light in the evenings. At night, have your room as dark as possible, with wireless shut off.
One study found evening blue light suppressed melatonin by 46%. With blue-blocking glasses? Just 6%.
