The leftist alliance has won 159 seats in the 225-member House.  श्रीलंका की ‘सत्तारूढ़ नेशनल पीपुल्स पावर’ ने संसद में दो तिहाई बहुमत हासिल कर बड़ी जीत दर्ज की है। बता दें कि वामपंथी गठबंधन ने 225 सदस्यीय सदन में 159 सीटें जीती हैं।    ➼  On the occasion of ' Dev Deepawali' (Dev Deepawali 2024) on the evening of 15 November in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, a record 17 lakh earthen lamps were lit on various ghats. Keeping in mind the needs of the competitive exam candidates, this exam will be conducted in a single day instead of two days. उत्तर प्रदेश लोक सेवा आयोग (UPPSC) ने ‘पीसीएस प्रारंभिक परीक्षा 2024’ को 22 दिसंबर तक पुनर्निर्धारित किया है। प्रतियोगी परीक्षा के उम्मीदवारों की जरूरतों को ध्‍यान में रखते हुए यह परीक्षा दो दिनों के बजाय एक ही दिन में आयोजित की जाएगी।    ➼  On the occasion of Tribal Pride Day, Delhi's Sarai Kale Khan Chowk has been renamed as ' Birsa Munda Chowk' . Now this square will be known by the name of Lord Birsa Munda. जनजातीय गौरव दिवस के अवसर पर दिल्ली के सराय काले खां चौक का नाम बदलकर ‘बिरसा मुंडा चौक’कर दिया गया है। अब इस चौक को भगवान बिरसा मुंडा के नाम से जाना जाएगा।   ➼  The 'World Health Organization' (WHO) has recorded a sharp increase in measles cases worldwide in the year 2023. According to a WHO report, last year 13 million cases of measles were registered worldwide, which is 20 percent more than the year 2022.  ‘विश्व स्‍वास्‍थ्‍य संगठन’(WHO) ने वर्ष-2023 में दुनियाभर में ‘खसरा’ के मामलों में तेज वृद्धि दर्ज की है। WHO की एक रिपोर्ट के अनुसार पिछले वर्ष दुनियाभर में खसरा के एक करोड़ तीस लाख मामले दर्ज किए गए जो वर्ष 2022 की तुलना में 20 प्रतिशत अधिक है।   ➼  The Andhra Pradesh Government has signed eight MoUs with  IIT Madras to launch transformational initiatives in various sectors . आंध्रप्रदेश सरकार ने विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में परिवर्तनकारी पहल शुरू करने के लिए ‘IIT मद्रास’ के साथ आठ समझौता ज्ञापनों पर हस्ताक्षर किए हैं।   ➼  The 43rd India International Trade Fair(IITF) is underway at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. The syllabus for these classes has been reduced by 15%. Also, the exam pattern has also been changed.
