Addressing the gathering, the Law Minister said that understanding the law is essential in accessing justice by a common person and it can’t be done better than having it codified in one’s mother tongue. 👉He called the translated document very significant in the dispensation of justice to common people. 🅾️Moving justice beyond the 4 walls of courts: 👉The Law Minister informed about the developments with respect to making the process of justice delivery easy and affordable. He revealed that the government is digitizing about 6,5000 words of legal glossary to frame a core vocabulary for understanding of all the citizens. 🔵He also informed that Rs 9,000 crore is allotted for the upgradation of infrastructure at lower judiciary and Rs 7,000 crore for e-Courts project. These investments will make the process of delivery of justice easily accessible and freely available. 🔵 The Vice Chancellor of Jammu University said that the document is a joint accomplishment of the Department of Law and the University and has been achieved after three years of extreme hard work. 🔵 Justice Kotishwar, CJI J&K and Ladakh,stated that the democratization of justice is important in a way to make justice available to rich and poor alike. 💯The Consitution of India is amongst the world’s longest-written constitutions and has guided India’s nation-building process for over seven decades. Recently, on 28th March 2023, the Ministry of External Affairs organised a seminar on “Seven Decades of the Constitution of India” on the occasion of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav (75 years of Independence of India) in coordination with the Parliamentary Research & Training Institute for Democracies (PRIDE).
