There was a protocol security request (upgrade vote) on chain that just passed majority vote and quorum. It changed the payout system for active staker rewards. Previously 2% of the treasury address DAI, WETH & RAIL, per 2-weeks, it stated to upgrade it to 4.2% of the treasury address every two weeks, and added some gas & efficiency code. It also released 2.5 million unminted rail directly to the staker treasury address, which would thus be available to the rewards every two weeks. (Rail has a max cap of 100 million, but only 60 million has ever been minted. Previously there was 57.5. Generally proposals do not pass vote) This looks to increase incentives for participation in the protocol security process. Not advice, please look for yourself as it's all on chain.
