I have lost my pen. 2. To describe an action that happened at an unspecified time in the past The focus is on the result, not on when it happened. Example: They have visited Delhi. He has read this story before. 3. To express experiences in life It tells about what someone has or has not experienced. Example: I have seen the Taj Mahal. She has never eaten sushi. 4. To describe actions that started in the past and are continuing in the present Often used with for and since. Example: He has lived in Hyderabad for five years. We have taught here since 2020. 5. To announce recent actions or news Commonly used with words like just, already, yet. Example: The teacher has just explained the lesson. The students have already completed the test.

Use of Future Continuous Tense 1. To show an action that will be in progress at a specific time in the future It describes what will be happening at a particular moment in the future. Example: I will be teaching at 10 a.m. tomorrow. The students will be writing the exam next Monday morning. 2. To describe an action that will continue over a period of time in the future Example: She will be preparing for her tests all week. We will be practicing for the annual day program this month. 3. To express polite or indirect future plans or enquiries It sounds more polite and less direct than simple future tense. Example: Will you be attending the meeting tomorrow? The teacher will be checking the notebooks later. 4. To show an action that is expected to happen as part of a routine or normal course of events Example: At this time tomorrow, they will be travelling to Hyderabad. He will be working in the office during school hours.

She was reading while her brother was watching TV. 4. To set the background in a story or narration It helps to describe the scene or atmosphere. The students are writing the test. 2. To describe temporary actions or situations It refers to actions that are not permanent and are happening for a short period. Example: I am staying with my uncle this week. He is working on a new project these days. 3. To express planned future actions (near future) It is used for actions that are already planned. Example: We are going to the library tomorrow. She is meeting the principal in the afternoon. 4. To show repeated actions with expressions like ‘always’, ‘constantly’ (often showing annoyance) Example: He is always talking in class. She is constantly forgetting her homework.

She was very shy as a child. --- 5. To express actions at a specific time in the past Often used with time expressions such as yesterday, last night, last week, ago.
