Hello Sweet Friends! Last year I joined a precious group of friends in reading the Gospel of Luke during December. On a whim, I recorded my own readings of the book. Each day until the 24th I will share these chapters here. Please show me grace for the times I was under the weather, tired, faltered, or mispronounced. Yesterday, as per tradition, we had the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving for lunch. Today, we plan to relax and enjoy life. Our hearts are humbled to be together after the harrowing events three years ago. We know others' hearts are hurting and we pray for you. We are thankful for all the glorious things the LORD does. Happy Thanksgiving, friends!

Hey Friends - I know Thanksgiving can be a little 🥴 when you have to be around whacky people. I'll do my best to keep Comedy Wednesday updated with new memes for when you manage to escape the whackiness! 👍🏼

I was reflecting on the "silence" clip shortly after sharing. That day I came up with some grand plans in my mind such as rushing through my chores and obligations so I could catch up on reading messages and posts and emails when the kids went to bed. Later, I would curl up with a good book. God -so firm, gentle, and truthful, tells me, "That's not silence." I hesitated, thinking of reasons why the quiet of the house when others are abed is exactly silence for me. "That's not the silence you need. You will only find restful, peaceful silence with Me." Oh. Indeed. Restful, peaceful silence is found when we surrender our surroundings so we can fully embrace His presence. Being deliberate in this seeking will fine tune us so when we go about living His purposes we will be walking in sync with the Master of it all.
