📣 Patch v1.0.80 is out Hello Nodes Team, Patch v1.0.79 came and went. We successfully tested several new features in our lab environment, but the real world is so much different. It has improved network sharding, the much anticipated block-tracking feature (re-sync at 2 blocks instead of 30 & much more) and state trie pruning. 📣 Patch v1.0.74 is out Hello Nodes Team, The nasty bug highlighted by the introduction of network sharding is fixed in this new patch. We'll now be testing higher TPS. We're looking to go as close to 100% online nodes as possible soon, details below. ⏱ Patch v1.0.74 is out, genesis time 09 January 16:30 UTC 🐛 The bug which was fixed: sending the same transaction multiple times sometimes caused disagreements between the proposer and validators. As the 2nd, 3rd, ... & so on transactions after the 1st one try to spend more ERD than available, they are dropped by our anti-flooding mechanism. The proposer sometimes had all the transactions, while validators didn't have the 2nd, 3rd, etc. So they wouldn't sign the proposer's block. Fixed ✅ 👉 Please do: turn on all the nodes you have registered or contact @SeverMM to remove nodes you no longer want to keep online. 📣 New new patch is out! Hello Nodes Team, Master Tailor @IulianPascalau and Demolition Expert @LucianMincu have knitted us a new patch. It brings network sharding to Elrond, one of the most anticipated features. It will drastically improve network performance. Do not confuse with anti-flooding mechanisms, which are different, and still work in progress. We will be running a high-TPS environment to observe the impact. ⏱ Patch v1.0.72 is out, genesis time 07 January 19:00 UTC ♻️ Patch v1.0.71 came and went. As we were hitting the renewed gym subscription and thinking about all the delicios food we're going to stop eating, our devs made a new patch and added more nodes as validators. 💰 Earning Money in BoNwards: one issue point = $32. Earn issue points by submitting useful issues and pull requests to our blockchain GitHub 🤩 More nodes = more rewards - We will add a 10% bonus for each node the submitter operates, up to 100%, aka 10 nodes. Every node you have over 10 will bring in a 5% bonus each 🧐 If you have 5 nodes and submit an issue worth 1 issue point, you will get 1 + 5 nodes x 10% = 1.5 issue points rewarded. 🎉 Battle of Nodes Rewards Are On Their Way! Hello Nodes Team, Your efforts are being rewarded. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we double and triple checked everything. Calculations are final and payments underway. Congratulations to all! Details below. 💰 The Overall TOP 10 earners are also the overall winners of Battle of Nodes: Shadowshards. 🏳️ Patch v1.0.65 released & Cease fire! Hello Nodes Team, I'm sure you heard about "blockchain never sleeps" before, but our devs take everything to the next level. So after the "Red Sharding" attack last night, we already have a new patch released. A cease fire, meaning no more attacks, is in effect. Out of respect for #ratemynode authors and their supporters, let's give the blockchain a breather so voting can happen. 🤩 One of the most awesome patches yet, v1.0.65 preserves the state of the previous blockchain to some extent, meaning all the balances from earlier today are restored in this new patch. 🎖 MIssion #6 therefore carries on as originally planned 😃 Fun fact: a typo caused the version of the binary to be "1.0.65", without the "v", which caused an endless update loop. This patch shall henceforth be known as: " " for " endetta" ⚠️ Some of the Elrond infrastructure is not up to date. explorer.elrond.com will therefore not display correct info until it gets some love from our sys admins, which should be Soon(tm) 📊 Known issues to the Leaderboards make it so a few new nodes are not displayed or have incorrect scores. Let's see how we can celebrate our most flamboyant node operators, while also pouring some gas on the fire. 🎖 The Mission: user your entire node's balance to vote for your favorite articles in the 💪 "Rate My Node" challenge. So submissions are accepted until Sunday 22 December 12:00 UTC 📊 Scoring: Mission #6 will get a 30.000 points budget. To put that into perspective, a BoN day is worth 10.000 points, so you get 3 days worth of points in one mission. 0 ERD in your nodes' wallet at the time of the snapshot gets you 30.000 points. We will then decrease 1 point for each ERD in your balance. 30.000 ERD or more means 0 mission points 🧮 Block rewards: Metachain nodes earn ~200.000 ERD per day, Shard nodes earn ~100.000 ERD per day.
