A Shasta County election employee was caught red-handed breaking into a secured ballot cabinet, copying sensitive docs to rig an election, compromising voter data. Election documents and materials were removed from the cabinet. Extra ballots were handed out by the employee, unauthorized copies of those records were made, providing the copies to Shasta County Clerk and Registrar of Voters Clint Curtis. Alleged premature distribution of extra ballots, routine post-election reconciliation revealed discrepancies suggesting a number of additional ballots may have been handed out to voters before Election Day by one employee.
