The demonization of eggs persists even to the modern day despite having been debunked in the mainstream long ago. A very clear example of this is looking at the nutritional facts on a carton of eggs and seeing that the cholesterol content of one egg is supposedly 57% of an adult's daily consumption for cholesterol. Doing even the most simplest and mainstream research shows this isn't true. The following images are screenshot's from Harvard Health's article on the topic which admits that the liver synthesizes around 1000mg of cholesterol a day even if you eat none in your diet, and will downscale automatically its own production based on your dietary consumption. Considering that you only absorb 50% of the cholesterol content of food via digestion, you would need to eat a dozen eggs or more a day to deplete you're liver's baseline synthesis. This also doesn't factor that eggs and cholesterol generally are super foods, acting as hormone precursor with effects nearing anabolic steroids when consumed daily.

Sometimes we develop abstract political opinions that are completely inapplicable to personal life and it begs the question, if having that opinion is of no practical or moral benefit personally, then why even have it? For example, it would not surprise you that many in our sphere are incredibly critical (using polite words) of the nation of Israel, and how they operate generally. In their most recent hostage rescue raid, they rescued 4 of their hostages after inflicting nearly 300 civilian casualties on the locals who were tactically placed around the hostages by Hamas. Of course, this is decried by many people for obvious reasons - that injuring or killing civilians in a military operation represents a horrible moral problem. However, I also know that if something were to happen in my personal life where my own people were being held hostage, and the most effective way of retrieving them unharmed is to strike with the utmost brutality and violence by overwhelming and destroying the enemy as best I might, I would definitely do it. What am I expected to do, abandon my people? Of course there are moral implications that will always be considered in hindsight, but my main point here is that perhaps we try so hard to have a controversial opinion toward the people we disagree with that we actively adopt positions that we are completely unhelpful to us in any practical way.

This is ultimately why libertarian individualism cannot by the metric by which we value and build societies. The individual is not the basic building block of society, the family is. Individuals cannot propagate a society without the family. For all its moral theory, individualism is render untenable and impractical in the real world due to the simply fact that it cannot sustain itself.

The first picture is the MITJ 3 package of pouches and belt from Paxton Creek Supply Co in UCP that was dyed with 1 bottle of Camel Ritdye and 1 bottle of Tan Ritdye, with a cup of vinegar (which seals the dye to nylon). The last picture is from before the dye process. I used room temp water instead of hot water (to preserve to waterproof treatment of the material), and allowed it to soak for a little over 24 hours (to get the same bonding without hot water). I added Crye AVS suspenders. This whole set up would cost than $115, including taxes and shipping, and depending on which color dye you choose as some are more expensive than others. Paxton Creek charges around $35-40 for this package, which is amazing considering it's milsurp Molle II duty grade gear. This is probably the best bang for your buck set up out there, although if you prefer chest rig over belt kit then you can buy a TAPS elsewhere and then use the Paxton suites of pouches to complete the set up.

You probably didn't know this, but for a few years, the most contemplative and wholesome shows on television was a midnight time slot on Adult Swim. All of Joe's videos (to my knowledge) are on youtube. Joe is definitively a Hobbit, and you will see why in his videos. How do I describe his shows? His shows are like giving your aging dog a nice pat on the head; like lighting off fireworks with your dad as a boy; like sitting with grandma on the sofa in her living room; like a walk through a chilly autumn forest with a hot coffee in hand; like fishing with a good friend in the cold water on a hot summer's day. This show opens up meditative nostalgia that I forgot I even had.

Morning Musings In today's world, we consider being a "hobo" to be the peak of poverty. In the Old World, it was the lifestyle if many regular people. "Battle hobos" could be used to describe any number of professional soldier who was not under lifelong employ and had to travel around for work. Generally it was fairly common for normal people to not live in a single place, or even under a roof, for long periods of time, living completely out of pocket and potentially in the wild. The Apostles and disciples during the Great Commission, St. Paul, Apollos, St. Mark, other missionaries of the Old World, and even Christ Himself could accurately be described as "God's hobos." These days, I think our view of poverty is not very accurate. I also think our view of adventure-seeking is rather constrained. If you were going to be a real explorer, a real sword for hire, a real missionary, it meant being "homeless" at least for a time.
