Top Strategies for Preventing Tickborne Diseases According to research published in the February 15, 2024, issue of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report (MMWR), prevalence of Lyme Disease were 1.7 times (70%) higher in 2022 than the annual U.S. average reported from 2017 through 2019. This dramatic increase is not thought to be reflective of an actual increase in prevalence but rather to changes in how cases are reported. More on this story: https://bit.ly/3UPtmmc

The Global Blood Supply May Be Massively Contaminated In a recent meta-analysis posted on preprints.org, Japanese researchers warn of potentially deadly risks to patients who receive blood from people who have taken mRNA COVID jabs and call for urgent action to ensure the safety of the global blood supply. According to the authors: “… many countries around the world have reported that so-called genetic vaccines, such as those using modified mRNA encoding the spike protein and lipid nanoparticles as the drug delivery system, have resulted in post-vaccination thrombosis and subsequent cardiovascular damage, as well as a wide variety of diseases involving all organs and systems, including the nervous system ..." Understanding the Metabolic Impact of Dietary Fats In this interview, repeat guest Brad Marshall, a molecular biologist, explains how different dietary fats influence your metabolism and overall health. You may want to listen to this interview a couple of times. If you still find it hard to understand, copy and paste the corresponding sections of the transcript into ChatGPT and ask it to explain it to you in even simpler terms. In our previous interview, Marshall explained reductive stress and how it causes damage that leads to virtually every degenerative disease and the most common causes of death. Molecular biology can be hard to understand which is why I created the best 2-D illustration of how your body creates cellular energy. It will be helpful for you to review this illustration during our discussion. Learn more here: https://bit.ly/3WPuQiY

Are We Becoming 'Plastic People'? A plastic straw, a bottle of water, a plastic bag from the grocery — these single-use plastics seem so innocuous that people barely give them a second thought before tossing them out. Unfortunately, the development of this throwaway culture has contributed to the mounting burden of plastic waste that threatens the environment, wildlife and our very own bodies. Discarded plastics are made primarily from petrochemicals and degrade into microscopic fragments called microplastics, which lurk everywhere, from the depths of our oceans to the food we eat and the air we breathe. It’s a sobering reality underscored by the Emmy Award-winning documentary featured, “We’re All Plastic People Now.” Learn more here: https://bit.ly/44NQyWp

How Exercise Can Help Protect Against Heart Disease Part of the reason why exercise is so good for your heart may be its ability to help relieve stress. While exercise’s role in heart health is often attributed to related physical improvements, like improved circulation, blood pressure and blood sugar levels, physical activity also helps reduce stress levels, which is important because stress can increase the risk of cardiovascular disease. A study led by investigators at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) revealed, however, that a reduction in stress-related brain activity may be behind some of exercise’s heart health benefits. Eliminate This Popular Seed Oil From Your Diet Southern Maryland, where I live, used to be a premier tobacco-growing region. Then in the 1980s, as the risks of tobacco smoking became clear, the state of Maryland instituted a tobacco buy-out program. Tobacco farmers received a large payment for ten years in a row to never plant tobacco again. The problem is that what replaced the tobacco was mostly soybeans — a crop that is far more carcinogenic and dangerous than tobacco. Fields-of-lung-cancer became fields-of-every-kind-of-cancer. Uncover the Hidden Data on This Medical Procedure in Children A U.S. Senate roundtable discussion, hosted by Sen. Ron Johnson, tackled a taboo topic — why public health agencies have not studied the health outcomes of vaccinated versus unvaccinated children — and have refused to make data on the topic available to the public. “They do not publish the results [or] let any independent scientist in to look at that information,” Brian Hooker, chief scientific officer for Children’s Health Defense, said. “They refuse to publish the results and they really know why. It’s because the bloated vaccination schedule is responsible and is, I would say, in part responsible for the epidemic of chronic disorders that we see in children in the U.S.” More information: https://bit.ly/3V55XOZ

Could Exercise Help Manage Depression? For years, researchers have highlighted the therapeutic potential of exercise when it comes to preventing and treating depression. I've been a long-term advocate for exercise as a primary treatment option for depression, and two recent meta-analyses confirm just how well-reasoned this advice has been. The most recent of the two, published in the February 2024 issue of The BMJ, analyzed 218 randomized controlled trials with 14,170 participants, and found that a wide variety of exercises significantly alleviate symptoms of depression, regardless of severity. 4 Lies About Nature's Perfect Food, Debunked Few of us were born when the forces for milk pasteurization launched the first major attack on Nature's perfect food. In 1945, a magazine called "Coronet" published an article, "Raw Milk Can Kill You," blaming raw milk for an outbreak of brucellosis in a town called Crossroads, U.S.A., killing one-third of the inhabitants. The "Reader's Digest" picked up the story and ran it a year later. Just one problem with this piece of "reporting." There was no town called Crossroads and no outbreak of brucellosis. How Toxins Can Cause Heart Failure and Cardiomyopathy According to research published in 1999, people with severe heart failure have 12,000-fold more antimony in their myocytes (the heart muscle cells responsible for contraction) than healthy controls. They also have 22,000-fold more mercury. Mercury is a highly toxic metal that causes oxidative stress, weakening of the antioxidant defense system, enzyme inactivation and increased oxidative damage, all of which contribute to the deterioration of heart function. Long-term exposure to antimony has also been linked to cardiovascular problems. Antimony also has estrogenic activity, which drives many chronic diseases, including cancer. Could Niacinamide Be Used to Help Relieve Chronic Pain? About 21% of U.S. adults suffer from chronic pain, with new cases occurring more often than new cases of other common conditions like diabetes, depression and high blood pressure. Pain is considered chronic if it occurs every day or most days over a period of three months or more. For about 8%, the chronic pain is considered high-impact, meaning it limits life or work activities, demonstrating the heavy burden this condition places on those affected. Many reach for dangerous opioid drugs for relief, which suppress mitochondria — the last thing you want if you’re struggling with chronic pain. Learn more: https://bit.ly/3QJXSwx

Could This Strategy Help Fight Memory Decline? Taking a daily multivitamin may improve memory and slow cognitive decline in older adults, according to a third major study on the topic. The studies used data from the COcoa Supplement and Multivitamin Outcomes Study (COSMOS), which evaluated whether cocoa extract supplementation with and without a standard multivitamin affected the risk of developing cardiovascular disease and cancer. While the study, which involved 21,442 participants, found cocoa flavanol supplementation did not show a significant impact in reducing the total number of cardiovascular events, further evaluation revealed daily multivitamins potentially reduced lung cancer by 38% and “did appear to improve levels of several nutritional biomarkers.” Dig deeper here: https://bit.ly/3QM0Mkn

Natural Strategies to Help Manage Diverticulitis Diverticulitis is an inflammation or infection of small pouches called diverticula that can develop along the walls of your intestines. The formation of these pouches is known as diverticulosis, a common condition that typically causes few or no symptoms. However, when these pouches become inflamed or infected, it leads to diverticulitis, which can be painful and may lead to serious complications. Diverticulosis is common in the U.S. and other parts of the world where heavily processed diets are the norm. It’s estimated that 30% of Americans over 50 have diverticulosis, which rises to 50% of those over 60% and 75% in people over 80. Most often, the condition affects the sigmoid colon, a section of the large intestine near the end of the digestive tract. Among those with diverticulosis, about 4% develop diverticulitis. Nanoplastics Have Now Been Detected in Arterial Plaque Nanoplastics — particles less than 1 micrometer in size, or 1,000th the average width of a human hair — have emerged as a significant environmental concern due to their widespread prevalence and potential health hazards to humans and wildlife alike. These microscopic fragments result from the degradation of larger plastic debris and can also be manufactured directly for various applications. Nanoplastics have become ubiquitous in ecosystems around the world, from urban waterways to remote oceanic and terrestrial environments. Their pervasive presence is attributed to the widespread use and disposal of plastic materials globally. More on this story: https://bit.ly/4aV62u5
