TCS NQT: So...the interview went like this.... 1) Introduce yourself. I told confidently 2) How any java program gets executed? I told confidently 3) does java has only compiler?if yes then how....if no..then what are others? I told confidently about the the concept of conversion of source code to byte and then conversion of this to byte code with the help of compiler and interpreter and then how jvm calls it to convert code in machine language and alsoentioned how java is called platform independent. 4) why do write main function as public static void main(String [ ] args) with proper reasoning of each and every term. I told confidently 5) what is final keyword and in which conditions it is gets imported by the programmer. I told confidently about the final keyword and why it is used for variables, methods , class. 6) what is exception handling ??Elaborate I told confidently with a real code for better explanation 7) difference between throw and throws?? Here I told him only one difference and even while answering him that 1 difference I told him that I don't know much but I h (Though after interview I checked my that 1 difference was right) 8) What is method overloading and method overriding? I answered to him confidently. 9) write a pair of example codes of method overloading and overriding with pen and paper with proper explanation. I wrote both of the codes on paper. 10) while checking and seeing my method overloading code interviwer asked me) what will happen if I change the return type of both the methods (which was overloaded) will it get complied or run or it won't run?? and if it wont run what type of exception will it throw? Here I told him that code will not run successfully due to ambiguity faced by jvm . *Then again he asked how will it execute is what type of error will be there and if runtime exception then which exception??* I thought for sometime but I don't know what went inside my mind I told him runtime execution (originally answer should be code won't get compiled) and interviewer told me also that there will be compilation error ( *so this was my first mistake in the whole interview*) 11) while checking my method overriding code he asked me what will happen if take the reference of parent class instead of child class and and call the object then which method will run 1) method which is in parent class or method in child class and how ?? Here i got confused and I told him that method with parent class will run as output as we are taking the reference of parent class. (So this was my second mistake in my interview😔) 13) how exception is handled?? I told him confidently about whole process with try , catch block. 14) can we have only catch block ? I answered no. 15) what is finally ?? .I answered with proper example 16) What is JIT compiler? Told. He also asked some other 2-3 questions which I answered confidently. Then the technical interview told to the Hr interviewer that "I am done you can ask to him anything" (During the whole interview Hr guy was scanning my body language, communication) Then Hr told me that as "TCS is a company which is based on outsourcing technical services and consulting so always there are the chances of relocation within the company... Would u mind for that?? I u will be told to do so??" I said no. I am completely fine with that. After that Hr interviwer raised his hand to shake hand with me....I did the same. Then all of the interviewer told me that you may leave now.. But here I told to interviwers. Sir can I ask one question if you won't mind? They said sure "Sir according to this interview and interaction could you tell me where I can improve?" Then technical guy told me that improve in oops parts of java ( maybe due to my mistakes)
