Inverted lateral incisor bracket.
In scenarios where lateral incisor is palataly placed ,always invert the bracket to give proper palatal torque to the tooth..

Always removed excess composite while bonding bracket.. Also press the brackets property so that there should be minimum composite between tooth and bracket.
Failing to do will results in change the prescription of bracket and lead to In-Out descripency .

If it's already planned that extraction of premolars are required, bond bracket 0.5mm cervically. It will extrude premolars, making extractions easier.

Delayed extraction
If we don't require space in earlier stages to align and level teeth, then always do extraction just before retraction.
Benefits-
just after extraction, rate of retraction is more.
We can engage round wire above the premolar to extrude it, making extractions easier.

In simple terms to remember
Torque is just root movement keeping the crown stationary
Only upper 4 anterior has palatal root torque. Other all teeth has buccal root torque

Whenever we see canine which is not erupted, first check whether it is engage with lateral incisor because labial cortical plate is very thin and chances of lateral incisor to become nonvital or even avulsed is very high

To reduce friction, self ligating braces are useful. It also reduces chair time as elastic modules are not used.
No doubt, they are costly.

Roller coster effect..
Never use echains on niti wire. It gives roller coster effect and it's time consuming to correct them

Always try to finish your cases to the final rectangular wire to give proper torque to teeth.
I know, it's not always possible. But parallel roots are one of the reason to avoid relapse.

For chinching of niti wires.
Adjust the length of wire approximately by putting it in mouth. Keep 3 to 4 mm extra.
On torch or burner, keep end of niti wire for a moment. Care should be taken not to burn them.
After this you can bend back niti wire with your bird beak plier .

012niti is the best wire to start the treatment. It provides very light force for alignment and leveling. Don't forget to bend back or chinch behind molars, else they tend to flare the incisors instead of leveling.
