#Question148 #Batch4 #Beneficial_Points #Question: Can you explain this beneficial point? (A believer is tested in proportion to his faith). #Answer: All praise be to Allah. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) told us that Allah tests those whom He loves. It was narrated by at-Tirmithi, ibn Majah, and others that Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: (Indeed, the greater the reward the greater the trials. and indeed, if Allah loves a people, He subjects them to trials. Whoever is content, then for them is pleasure. and whoever is discontent, then for them is displeasure). Therefore, the greater one's faith is, the greater his rank will be with Allah, and the greater he is tested and subjected to trials. Subjecting the believers to trials in this world purifies them from their sins, and increase their rewards if they exercise patience and acceptance of the decree of Allah. Therefore, Allah increases their trials to increase their rewards. Hence, His love for them makes them subject to more trials than others. Allah knows best.

In verse 23, Allah presents a challenge to people to produce one Surah like that which is in the Qur’ān, and in verse 24 He tells us that they will never be able to do so. If you look at verse 24 alone, the statement "if you don't, and you will never be able to do so" does not reveal that this is a conclusion of a challenge to produce another Surah like the Qur’ān. Thus, this beneficial point is derived from the context of both verses, not one verse independently. Allah knows best.
