Dragon ball Z lore is still a hectic allegory for world affairs. Frieza is an intergalactic tyrant, running a dictatorship encompassing many planets and nations. He’s obsessed with power, recruits & manipulates various mutant races to his own ends but gets nervous after witnessing the innate abilities of one race of warriors called the Saiyans. Saiyans are excellent at fighting, they learn and develop at a superior rate. They’re efficient, organised and are happy to die in battle if they need to. They don’t mix with other races, if they encounter aliens they just kill them. Frieza struggles to control the Saiyans and fearing they could overthrow him, makes a genocide plan to exterminate them all which leaves only a handful of them alive. Frieza lies about the genocide and makes it seem like a random accident. But one of the surviving Saiyans (assuming his race’s “ultimate form” which is golden hair / green or blue eyes) ends up defeating Frieza in a feat of irony. Frieza is a cruel, genderless alien, paranoid about control and escaping death, while the Saiyans are a strictly male/female race of fighters with a royal family and a Feudal system of government, they love competition and consider dying in combat the greatest glory.

Big day out at the Stafford by-election today — early counting is underway and it looks like a strong swing to the LNP, with around 9% being talked about, though nothing’s final yet. I was out volunteering at a few booths across the electorate. Good energy all day — Aussie flags everywhere, with plenty of green and gold boxing kangaroo flags out in the community. Great to see. My favourite signs of the day were the Australian lobby group corflutes — powerful message: “End mass migration, vote Labor Greens last.” Absolute winner. God bless Australia 🇦🇺
