Be mindful of Allāh ﷻ and he will protect you
ʿAbdullāh Ibn ʿ Abbās narrated:
One day, I was behind the Prophet ﷺ so he said to me:
«يَا غُلَامُ! إِنِّي أُعَلِّمُكَ كَلِمَاتٍ:
“O young man! I am going to teach you some words:
احْفَظْ اللَّهَ يَحْفَظْكَ،
Be mindful of Allāh and He will protect you
Be mindful of Allāh and you will find Him before you
If you ask then ask of Allāh
If you seek aid then seek aid in Allāh
Know that if the entire Ummah were to gather in order to benefit you with something,
they could not benefit you with anything except that Allāh has written for you.
And if the entire Ummah were to gather in order to harm you with something,
they could not harm you with anything except with what Allāh has written against you.
The pen has been lifted
and the pages have dried.”
[Shaykh Fakhr al-Din Qabawah]
“We are a people whom Allāh ﷻ has honoured through Islam, if we seek honour elsewhere, Allāh ﷻ shall humiliate us.”
Repost from qamarinitiative
ft. Shaykh Fakhr al-Din Qabawah
Umar b. al-Khattab: “We are a people whom Allah has honoured through Islam, if we seek honour elsewhere, Allah shall humiliate us.”
Ibn al-Jawzī رحمه الله said:
“Overall, the planning of Allāh for you is certainly better than the plans you have set for your own self. He may avert what you wish to test you, so show Him the good patience you have and then you will see what will please your heart.”

We don’t need to be perfect in this world, but we need to be sincere in our efforts, renewing our intentions and reminding ourselves of the ultimate goal
Your value is in your abilities, good deeds, manners, and contributions to society. Do not feel grief over that which has passed you by in life but be content with what Allāh has given you.
Remind yourself of Paradise, which is as wide as the Heavens and the Earth.
lf you’re hungry in this world, if you are sad, ill or oppressed, remember the eternal bliss of Paradise. lf you do, then your losses are really profits and the hardships you face are really gifts.
The most wise of people are those who work for the Hereafter, because it is better and everlasting. The most foolish of mankind are those who see this world as their eternal abode – in it reside all of their hopes. You will find such people to be the most grief-stricken of all when faced with calamity. They will be the most affected by worldly loss simply because they see nothing beyond the insignificant lives that they lead.
The happiness of Paradise will be absolute. So why do we not contemplate this fact? Paradise is our destination – and we ask Allāh سبحانه و تعالى for the highest of Paradise.
“Peace be upon you for what you patiently endured. And excellent is the final home.”
[Qur’ān, Sūrah Ra’d (13), verse 24]

Most Scholars of the early generations were poor; needless it is to say, then, that they did not have beautiful houses or nice cars. Yet, despite this, they led fruitful lives, and they benefited mankind, not by some miracle, but because they used all that they were given, and spent their time in the correct way. Hence they were blessed in their lives, their time, and their talents.
On the contrary, there are many people who have been bestowed with wealth, children, and all forms of blessings, yet these blessings have been the very reason for their misery and ruin. They deviated from what their inborn instincts were telling them, namely, that material things are not everything.
If you’re a seeker of happiness, be satisfied with what Allāh has favoured you with. Certain educators go further than this by saying that you should imagine being contented with even less than you actually have now.

Salih al-Dimashqi رحمه الله said you his son: { O my son, if a day passes in which your religion, body, wealth, and family are all safe ... then increase in your thanks to Allāh ﷻ.
For how many people in that same day will have lost their religion, been afflicted ...
with disease, become bankrupt and lost their family members, whilst you enjoy Allāh’s safety. }

The Greatest Blessing that a student of ʿilm can have is:
- An Extremely Strict Teacher In Qirāʿah
Who will not let one small error pass by)
- An Extremely Tolerant Teacher In Fiqh
(Who will patiently discuss every ruling with you)
