At one point during the call, the shooting of Robert Fico was brought up: “You see what happened to Fico, and you should be very careful,” the commissioner allegedly said. “For the purpose of prevention, I considered myself obliged to provide information about this threat to the Georgian society,” Kobakhidze said in a statement, shared by the government on Facebook. The controversial “foreign agents” law would essentially require organizations that accept funds from abroad to register as foreign agents or face fines.
