"Mockingjay" is the third and final book in "The Hunger Games" trilogy by Suzanne Collins. It continues the story of Katniss Everdeen, who has become a symbol of rebellion against the oppressive Capitol.
In "Mockingjay," the nation of Panem is in a state of full-scale war. District 13, a previously hidden district believed to have been destroyed, emerges as the center of the rebellion against the Capitol. Katniss reluctantly becomes the Mockingjay, the figurehead of the rebellion, and is used as a propaganda tool to inspire and unite the districts.
As the war escalates, Katniss and her allies, including her friends Gale, Peeta, and a group of surviving tributes, undertake dangerous missions to undermine the Capitol's authority. They face harrowing challenges, witness the devastating consequences of war, and grapple with their own personal struggles and traumas.
Throughout the book, Katniss questions her role as the Mockingjay and the cost of war. She struggles with her feelings for both Gale and Peeta, whose relationship has been strained by the events of the previous books. She also has to confront the realization that both sides of the conflict have committed acts of violence and cruelty.
