Water pills (thiazide diuretics can cause/aggravate hyperuricemia) so please be aware in scenario of joint pain (specially gout) specifically ask about any history of high blood pressure and if positive then ask are you taking any water pills. If a patient is taking water pills you have to stop them and refer the patient back to the doctor who is treating the hypertension and suggest replacement of antihypertensive medicine. If you will not do it, you may lose marks in clinical judgement.
