Today is Earth Day, a reminder that even small actions can have a real impact. 🔵This year, our office in Portugal decided to sponsor local beehives located in Casa da Abelha e do Mel. 🔴Bees may be small, but their role is critical. Each hive is home to 50,000–60,000 bees, all contributing to pollination, a process responsible for around one-third of the food we consume. 🟡Today, these ecosystems are under increasing pressure. In Portugal, for example, bee populations face growing threats from the Asian hornet, an invasive predator targeting entire colonies. Quantori Portugal made a small but meaningful step: sponsoring 6️⃣ beehives. It is a simple action, but one that contributes to healthier ecosystems, more resilient agriculture, and a more sustainable future.

The Data Engineering School is a research, development, and innovation hub that brings together key industry verticals and real-world data processing challenges. Quantori Research 🔵We are proud to share that our CSO, Yuriy Gankin, PhD, contributed to a landmark study presenting the first comprehensive molecular epidemiology analysis of the HIV epidemic in an understudied region of Eastern Europe. 🔴The research offers valuable insights into historical transmission waves, key drivers of spread, and the role of major urban centers, helping fill an important gap in understanding HIV dynamics across the broader region. 🟡A big congratulations to Yuriy and the entire team of authors on this impactful work and its contribution to global public health research.

New Research 🔵Congratulations to our valued partner Steve Labkoff, MD, on the publication of “Towards responsible artificial intelligence in healthcare — getting real about real-world data and evidence,” which explores how real-world data can be responsibly used in AI applications for healthcare. 🔴The paper highlights key challenges, including transparency, safety, bias, ethics, and accountability, and proposes practical recommendations to support trustworthy and effective AI solutions. 🟡Kudos to Steven and all co-authors for advancing responsible AI in healthcare. 🔗Explore the publication here.

A Journey Built on Teamwork, Resilience, and Unforgettable Views At 06:39 AM on August 15th, the Quantori flag was raised by our colleague Nick Shapovalov on the Roof of Africa, Mount Kilimanjaro, 5,895m high. The climb tested every step with thin air and endless scree, but rewarded us with glaciers glowing in the sunrise and the vast savanna stretching into Kenya. This was more than reaching a summit, it was a journey of resilience, teamwork, and spirit, carrying the ambitious heart of Quantori to new heights.
