🔸🔹🔸🔹🔴🔹🔸🔹🔸 ❓Ruling on joining celebrations of disbelievers like Christmas and congratulating them on those occasions. 🚫It is not permissible to join the Christians in their celebration even if those who claim knowledge join them, because this increases their numbers and is a kind of support to them in sin and transgression. Allah (Exalted be He) says (what means):  *وَتَعَاوَنُوا۟ عَلَى ٱلْبِرِّ وَٱلتَّقْوَىٰۖ وَلَا تَعَاوَنُوا۟ عَلَى ٱلْإِثْمِ وَٱلْعُدْوَٰنِۚ* Help you one another in Al-Birr and At-Taqwâ (virtue, righteousness and piety); but do not help one another in sin and transgression.[Al-Ma'idah, 5:2] ✒The Permanent Committee for Scholarly Research and Ifta'. Source https://bit.ly/2ONaEra 🔹 *Ash-Shaykh al-Uthaymeen, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:* “Congratulating the kufaar for the holiday of Christmas or other than it of their holidays is haraam based upon the consensus of the scholars, as has been quoted by Ibnul Qayyim, may Allah have mercy upon him, in the book ‘Ahkaam Ahlil Dhimmah’,…it is as if he is congratulating him for his prostration to the cross…” 🔹 *Ash-Shaykh Saalih al-Fawzan, may Allah preserve him said:* “…The Christians innovated this birthday and other than it into their religion, while the Prophet Esaa, alayhi as-salaam, did not legislate for them to celebrate his birthday rather they just merely innovated it…” 🔸 *A Reply to a Doubt* There are some who claim that if the Christians congratulate the Muslims for their Islamic celebrations then it is upon the Muslims to congratulate them back during their celebrations, which is totally wrong and incorrect because congratulating them upon that is actually congratulating them upon their falsehood, rather Islam calls to opposing the kufaar in that. 🔸A Side Benefit: *Ash-Shaykh Yahya al-Hajooree, may Allah preserve him, said:* “For the Nasaara (i.e. the Christians) is their own calendar; called the christian calendar (i.e. the western calendar), they began the year upon the birthday of the Prophet Esaa, as they claim and they refer to it as the Christian year, while the Persians have their own calendar (i.e. the Jalaali Calendar) and the Roman have their own calendar (i.e. the Julian calendar)…” ✒Translated By Abu Fajr AbdulFattah حفظه الله Source :https://bit.ly/2ELklWQ

As Allāh سبحانه وتعالى commanded in the his Book: قُل لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَغُضُّواۡ مِنْ أَبْصَٰرِهِمْ وَيَحْفَظُواۡ فُرُوجَهُمْۚ... Tell the believing men to lower their gaze (from looking at forbidden things)... [Surah Nūr:30] وَقُل لِّلْمُؤْمِنَٰتِ يَغْضُضْنَ مِنْ أَبْصَٰرِهِنَّ... Tell the believing women to lower their gaze (from looking at forbidden things)... [Surah Nūr:31] The benefits will be taken from Ibnul Qayyim (رحمه الله)'s book "The Disease and the Cure (الداء و الدواء)" We will also include the explanation of Shaykh 'Abdurrazzāq ibn 'Abdulmuhsin al-Badr حفظهما الله of each point. The Dawah to Allah is not In Need of Tasweer Shaikh Muhammad ba Jamaal حفظه الله said in a lesson between Maghrib and Isha: "A lot of of the people say, 'Tasweer is good for dawah', akhi look at the dawah of Shaikh Muqbil, it's a clear proof there is no need for tasweer in dawah. Look at the dawah of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ it spread without the use of this tasweer. (And the Dawah of) Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman and Ali, and they were in the very center of polytheists amongst a people that all they knew was misguidance, idol worshipping, and shirk, so if tasweer was from this religion and from that which is a necessity for it, Allah would have sent a prophet calling his people with tasweer. Even the Companions of the Messenger of Allahﷺ, if this tasweer was from the deen they would have made pictures of the Prophet ﷺ and perhaps written underneath it a hadith or some words and spread that to call the people to Islam. However, this tasweer was never from the ways of calling to Allah. It is not from the religion to begin with, this attaching the people to these images of tasweer. How many of our scholars, up until today, their statements are known and lasting with us, and their methodology has been preserved and people are still debating over their statements and trying to understand their jurisprudence and not one of them had some channel broadcasting their images. So why then do we now say that there is a need for this tasweer.!?" Did Allah command you to make images of yourselves in order to call the people to Islam? No. He did not oh my brother. Allah has only commanded you to call the people, {ادْعُ إِلِى سَبِيلِ رَبِّكَ بِالْحِكْمَةِ وَالْمَوْعِظَةِ الْحَسَنَةِ وَجَادِلْهُم بِالَّتِي هِيَ أَحْسَنُ} that which translates as: "Call to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good instruction, and argue with them in a way that is best. [Nahl:125] It reaches who it reaches. You are not charged with making sure Islam reaches to every corner of the world. If you have the ability to go to these remote places and give them dawah then go. But their guidance is not upon you so why are you falling into this sin of tasweer when the people of knowledge say that this tasweer is not permissible in totality and this is the position of the majority of the scholars of our time. Yet you find some who say, 'no it is permissible' and this position has been refuted for it is falsehood and it is rejected. And Allah's aid is sought." The author- رحمه الله- mentions the reason why he wrote this book and the importance of it: " and when imaan was made up of two: •half of it being sabr (patience) •And half of it being shukr (thankfulness) Then It was only appropriate upon the one who: •advises himself •and loves to be saved •and prefers his happiness That he does neglect these two great fundamental principles (shukr and sabr) and that he does not incline away from these two straight paths, so that Allah may make him amongst the best of the two groups (the losers and the succesful ones) the day he meets him. And because of that, this book has been placed in order to define the extreme need and dire necessity of sabr and shukr, and to clarify that the happiness of the dunya and the aakhirah depends on it..."
