Here is the fragment from today's Grammar Call. If you want to finally UNDERSTAND the difference between "that", "this", and "it", watch the replay or the call! It's already available in the community of practice❤️
During these calls, we learn together from the source. I am not the source. We learn from books written BY and FOR native speakers. I help you apply the strategies to make sense of the language used in these books.
Once you have put in the work to find the answers, you will NEVER forget them. And you will be able to find other answers independently.
- Watch the replay
- Download the grammar book
- Do the exercises
- Ask for feedback
- Practice and get feedback to apply what you now understand
You can purchase workshops separately. Use this link to send RUB or EUR.

Here is the preview of what to expect in the community of practice this week
Join the practice this week! Every day, I publish a video where I show you the nuances of selling your ideas in English. How do you say it so that people listen and HEAR what you mean? First, you must learn to read this way. A new video lesson and a new exercise every day for the next 2 weeks to practice speaking in the rhythm of English and helping your audience see a MOVIE in their head as you speak. Start a 3-day free trial. Pay in RUB or EUR. IF you pay in EUR, VAT will apply (depending on the country where your card has been issued) https://community.nataliatokar.me/c/focused-practice/
The more often I read out loud, the better it gets.
Here is what I read today. This excerpt explains the concept of "small circles" - when you learn something so well that you don't need to apply conscious effort any more. What you used to know becomes a feeling.
"If you’ve ever watched some of the most explosive hitters in the boxing world, for instance Mike Tyson or Muhammad Ali, you’ve seen fights where knockouts look completely unrealistic. Sometimes you have to watch in slow motion, over and over, to see any punch at all. They have condensed large circles into very small ones, and made their skills virtually invisible to the untrained eye....
The fact is that when there is intense competition, those who succeed have slightly more honed skills than the rest. It is rarely a mysterious technique that drives us to the top, but rather a profound mastery of what may well be a basic skill set. Depth beats breadth any day of the week, because it opens a channel for the intangible, unconscious, creative components of our hidden potential.”
Excerpt From: Josh Waitzkin. “The Art of Learning.”
