| 2 |  US President Donald Trump has announced that the United States will stop providing Israel with around $4 billion in annual aid by the end of 2026.
Trump claims Israel no longer needs the money. However, his own comments suggest there may be another reason behind the decision.
Speaking to Fox News, Trump said that US funding for Israel had become a "bad talking point".
He said, "We were giving them $4 billion. We are. But it gets cut off at the end of the year. Why? Because they don't need it.
"Why should we suffer the slings from lunatics like El-Sayed when they don't need it? It's a bad talking point."
His remarks suggest that openly funding Israel has become increasingly difficult to defend politically, particularly as public opposition to Israel grows in the United States.
But questions remain over what this announcement actually means.

Raihaanah Ahmed is the founder of St Albans Community Pantry, an innovative volunteer-led initiative established in 2020 to help people in her community access nutritious, good-quality food in a dignified way.
The charity now supports around 600 people every week, with volunteers playing a vital role in collecting, sorting and redistributing food to local residents.

The defence ministers of Türkiye, Qatar, Pakistan and Indonesia have signed a memorandum of understanding in Doha, Qatar, establishing a defence industry cooperation pact.
The agreement covers joint production, research and development, and technical military training, with each country contributing its own military production capabilities.
The aim is to bring existing projects into a wider framework involving all four nations.

| 12 |  An attack targeting King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Saturday, 10 October, has left 12 people dead and 309 injured, according to the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA).
The Houthis are suspected of carrying out the attack, although responsibility has not been officially confirmed.
Among those killed were four Saudi citizens and residents of several nationalities, including two Bangladeshis, as well as nationals of the United States, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Palestine and Sudan.
Some of the injured remain in critical condition and are receiving medical treatment at several hospitals.
