Quranic Benefits
The People of Paradise and the People of the Fire Are Not Equal
📝Ash-Shaykh ʿAbdul-ʿAzeez
bin ʿAbdillah Ar-Rajihee((حفظه الله))
🔹 Allaah, the Exalted, said:⤵️
“Not equal are the companions of the Fire and the companions of Paradise.”
[Al-Ḥashr: 20]
🔸 That is: ⤵️
The people of the Fire are not equal to those who are tossed about in Hell, amid punishment and torment.
They are imprisoned in humiliation, being punished forever and ever.
🔹 As for the people of Paradise: They are the blessed and honored ones those with whom Allaah is pleased and who are pleased with Him, and for whom He has granted His Abode of Honor.
They are in everlasting bliss and lasting good health.
🔸 Are these equal to those?
They are not equal.
🔹 For this reason, Allaah, the
Exalted, said:
“The companions of Paradise
they are the successful.”
[Al-Ḥashr: 20]
🔸 They are those who attained the pleasure of Allaah, attained the love of Allaah, Mighty and Majestic, attained His Abode of Honor, and were saved from punishment and loss.
🔹 This is the true success.
🔹 As Allaah, the Exalted, said:⤵️
> “So whoever is drawn away from the Fire and admitted into Paradise has certainly succeeded.”
[Āl ʿImrān: 185]
🔸 As for those who regard success as success in this worldly life, then this is a deficient, limited, and short-lived success.
🔸 It is from what Allaah has granted to the people of this world, and all of it, in relation to the Hereafter, is worth nothing before Allaah, the Exalted.
🔹And in the Hadīth:
“If the world were worth to Allaah the wing of a mosquito, He would not have given a disbeliever even a drink of water from it.”

Allaah's Decree Concerning Adam's Descent To The Earth
📩Question:📩
السلام عليكم ورحمة و بركاتة
[On behalf of one of the brothers]
There is one matter that I do not understand.
Why did Allah inform the angels from the very beginning by saying:
«"Indeed, I am going to place upon the earth a successor (khalīfah)."»
when Adam and Ḥawwāʾ (Eve) did not descend to the earth until after they had disobeyed Allah in Paradise?
It seems that their descent to the earth was a consequence of their disobedience. However, if Allah had already informed the angels beforehand that He would place a successor upon the earth, does that not indicate that Adam would have descended to the earth regardless, whether he disobeyed or not?
This is the part that I do not understand.

First of all, do not delve into such questions that may lead you into excessive speculation, where you may not find answers to your questions and thus slip and fall into error.
At the very least, your mind may become confused. May Allah preserve you.
The matter is as follows:
Allaah, the Exalted, informed the angels:
«"Indeed, I am going to place upon the earth a successor (khalīfah)."»
Al-Baqarah [30]
Very well.⤵️
Whether the angels knew that Adam was the one who would be upon the earth or they did not know this is because they possess no knowledge except what Allah has taught them.
Allaah informed them that He would place a successor upon the earth, but we have no evidence that He informed them specifically that Adam would be that successor from the outset.
This is the first point.
And even if they had known that, Adam's remaining in Paradise was because Allaah, the Mighty and Majestic, had settled him there.
Allaah caused him to dwell therein.
Now, his dwelling in Paradise meant that his stay there could continue for a period of time. The angels did not know how long Adam would remain in Paradise before descending to the earth whether he would descend because of a sin or without a sin. All of this was not within the knowledge of the angels.
«"We have no knowledge except what You have taught us."»
Al-Baqarah {32}
So there is no problem.
The angels simply did what they were commanded to do and obeyed their Lord in whatever He commanded them.
They do not disobey Him.
Allaah said to them:
«"Indeed, I am going to place upon the earth a successor."»
They replied:
«"Will You place therein one who will cause corruption therein and shed blood, while we glorify You with praise and sanctify You?"»
Allaah said:
«"Indeed, I know that which you do not know."»
Al-Baqarah {30}
Thereafter, Allaah decreed whatever He decreed, and the angels did not know it. Allaah made Adam the one who would descend to the earth.
Very well.⤵️
And even if the angels had known through the knowledge Allaah had given them that Adam would one day descend to the earth, they still would not have known when he would descend.
Nor would they have known the details.
There is therefore no difficulty in this matter.
Even if Allah informed them that he would descend to the earth, just as He taught Adam the names of all things, Adam still did not know when he would descend to the earth.
Then Allaah decreed for him what He had decreed, and the command of Allaah came to pass.
«"And the command of Allaah is ever a decree determined."»
Al-Ahzab {38}
So do not immerse yourself in these matters, may Allaah bless you.

Your question is precise, and it concerns one of the matters in which understanding the relationship between the sequence of the Divine Decree and the causes can become confusing.
The answer becomes clear when the verse is understood in its correct context:
First: ⤵️
The meaning of Allah’s statement:
“And when your Lord said to the angels, ‘Indeed, I am going to place upon the earth a successor (khalīfah).’”
The Noble Qur’an
This verse does not indicate a “reaction” after the sin. Rather, it indicates a divine plan that preceded creation:
That the human being was created to be a successor on the earth, to develop and inhabit it, and to be tested therein.
Second:⤵️
Was Adam’s descent caused by the sin?
The answer: ⤵️
No. The descent was not merely a sudden punishment; rather, it was part of the original purpose of creation.
The evidence is that Allaah said:
«“Indeed, I am going to place upon the earth a successor.”»
This was before Adam was even created and before the eating from the tree occurred.
Thus, Adam’s presence in Paradise was:
- A stage of testing and teaching
- Then the transition to the earth was to the dwelling place originally intended
Third: ⤵️
What, then, was the role of the sin?
Adam’s disobedience, peace be upon him:
- Was not the cause of his “being on earth in the first place”
- But it was a cause for hastening the descent from Paradise to the earth
- And with it began the legislation concerning repentance, trials, and religious responsibility
For this reason, the scholars
said:⤵️
«The descent to the earth occurred according to Allah’s prior decree, while the apparent cause was different: the sin.»
Fourth: ⤵️
Reconciling the two matters
The overall picture can be summarized as follows:
- Allaah had already decreed that Adam would be a successor on the earth
- He informed the angels of that before creating him
- Then Adam was admitted into Paradise as a test and for instruction
- Then the eating from the tree occurred, and it became a cause for the departure
- Thus, the prior decree and the apparent cause came together.

🎙Ash-Shaykh Abee Hudayfah Abdul-Ghani Al-Omaree ((حفظه الله))
Allaah, the Mighty and Majestic this matter is from His prior knowledge. Allaah, Blessed and Exalted, knew beforehand, and this is from the pre-eternal knowledge of Allaah, Blessed and Exalted, that this would occur.
So Allaah, the Mighty and Majestic, created Adam for a wisdom for a wisdom then put him through a test and admitted him into Paradise, and this test took place.
However, Adam, as Allaah, Blessed
and Exalted, said:⤵️
“Thus did Adam disobey his Lord, so he went astray.
Taha {121}
Thus, disobedience occurred from him.
Then Adam repented to Allaah, Blessed and Exalted, after which Allaah sent him down to the earth.
So Allaah, the Mighty and Majestic, created him for the earth, and He caused him to dwell in Paradise as a trial, in order to make clear to the people that life is filled with trials. Whoever succeeds, succeeds; and whoever commits something will receive punishment in proportion to what he committed.
May Allaah preserve you.

What is your advise for a brother who's children have been taken away by his ex-wife through the kuffaar court system and hasn't seen them for years, is it allowed for him to make dua against her in every night that he stands on his feet .
Due to the statement of Allaah:
وَلَمَنِ ٱنتَصَرَ بَعۡدَ ظُلۡمِهِۦ فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ مَا عَلَيۡهِم مِّن سَبِيلٍ
And indeed whosoever takes revenge after he has suffered wrong, for such there is no way (of blame) against them.

Important Warning for Women:
📝Ash-Shaykh Abee
Abdirahman Radmaan Al-Hubayshee((حفظه الله))
Explains:⤵️
The Prophet ((ﷺ))
Said:⤵️
«“A woman should not describe another woman to her husband in such a way that it is as though he is looking at her.”
(Reported by al-Bukhari).»
Meaning: ⤵️
It is not permissible for a woman to describe another woman to her husband, such as saying: “So-and-so has long hair, fair skin, a beautiful figure, and is of medium height,” or similar descriptions. Such descriptions may lead to attraction toward the woman being described and occupy the husband's thoughts especially if the one describing her is less attractive.
The avenues through which Shayṭān enters are many.
Furthermore, a woman is commanded to conceal herself, so describing another woman to her husband is a violation of that concealment.
This Hadīth also indicates that a woman is commanded to observe ḥijāb.
Had this not been the case, the Prophet(( ﷺ ))would not have needed to give this warning, since a man could simply see her when she went out.
O Allaah, rectify the affairs of the Muslims.
