The trapped Russian and Malian military base in the outskirts of Anefis is being shelled by FLA forces.
@Conflict_Monitor
The failed assault to take back Anefis resulted in the loss of vehicles, MI-24 helicopter and casualties among the Malian and Russian forces.
The Gao convoy is regrouping in another location after the withdrawal, with FLA and JNIM pursuing them. Tonight there should be a third battle.
Russian gambit at Anefis yesterday may be the start of a comprehensive doom tomorrow.
Potential Islamic State Sahel Province (ISSP) gathering to use the current situation as it did in the April 25 offensive to attack Menaka City and other bordering towns/bases.

📄 — Summary of the Current Events
The town of Anéfis is completely under the control of JNIM/FLA. While other attacks in Gao and Sévaré were to inflicted as much damage as possible to Fama and Africa Corps, like the destruction of a helicopter and the damaging of another during the evacuation of wounded Russian fighters, in a addition to the downing of a SU (Not confirmed yet).
Negotiations between the JNIM/FLA and Africa Corps were underway at some point, but no clear agreement was reached. The FLA has bombarded several Africa Corps positions with suicide drones and mortar shells after negotiations broke down.
Looks like the offensive was scaled back and is now consisting only of a few skirmishes in Léré's Timbuktu region, and other positions still under the control of the Malian Army and Africa Corps.
Perhaps an agreement can still be reached so that the rest of the soldiers trapped in Anéfis could retreat to Gao, and another chunk of land up north will be giving to the Azawad.
